PM So Fierce! I nearly Choked...

Source: Malaysian Insider

PUTRAJAYA, July 31 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has warned his rival Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim not to bribe lawmakers to defect to the opposition.

Anwar has repeatedly pledged to topple Abdullah’s administration through parliamentary defections by mid-September.

Abdullah tells The Associated Press in an interview today he has heard many stories about Anwar allegedly tempting government legislators "with monetary offers”.

Abdullah says if this proved true, it would "be the worst form of corruption to buy people to bring down the government that has been established by the will of the people."

Are you talking about yourself ah PM?

Anwar needs 30 lawmakers to defect for the opposition to seize power. But he is fighting a sodomy accusation that could derail his career for the second time in a decade. — AP

I have only one question to our PM.

WHAT DO YOU THEN CALL YOUR "ARRANGEMENT" WITH PAS? MB POST, EXCO POSTS, SOME EVEN SAY DPM2?

Funny.. MalaysianInsider seemed to have withrdrawn the original news put up by AP but the other link can be found here. MsianInsider meanwhile carried it in another set of news HERE.

Anwar to Stand in Permatang Pauh

My dad called me up early this morning and told me Anwar will not stand in Kulim... apparently its true...

HERE

He will stand in Permatang Pauh. Dr. Azizah, Anwar's wife has quit the seat to pave way for her husband to stand for a by-election.

Apparently the news in Kulim was, PKR was not certain if the court hearing for the Kulim seat will be postponed again as it was scheduled to be heard on Aug 19. While it was known that PRK is impatient in getting Anwar back to Parliament, the safest seat for him to make his return would be his former seat kept warm by Dr Wan Azizah after his sacking in 98.

So is Sept 16 just a smokescreen? I guess I would like to stop predicting anything until it happens.

My GAWD!! Suddenly a flurry of activities takes place.. The police became very efficient.

Cops wrap up sodomy probe.

Anwar may be arrested in 48 hours.

Pump prices to go Down?

Hey... I was moaning about it yesterday in Spare a Thought.

And later that evening, the following news came out... Here and Here.

So if they are looking at reducing pump prices... now would that mean transportation cost will come down and stuff at supermarkets will become cheaper? Will my favourite mamak reduce their roti canai by 5sen? Will the mix rice flers bring down their prices? Obviously not... we can only seek solace that we wont bleed as much next time we fill our rickety Protons and Kancils up at the pumps.

The official said "if oil prices remain between 120 dollars a barrel and 125 dollars a barrel for two weeks," then Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi could announce a cut in fuel costs in the weeks ahead.

I think we Malaysians would not moan that much if they let the market price rule the roost. Since they have already made their policy of 30sen subsidy... keep it as such and leave the market to rule the prices. Why must they wait to see if it remains for 2 weeks... then PM announce a cut in the WEEKS AHEAD? How many weeks will it be?

I guess, the next question would be the RM625 that was paid out... yipppeee? We could end up paying lesser than RM1.92/litre this year.. at least.. I have a feeling that next year there will be no more cash handouts.... so guys enjoy it while it lasts.. or lest we let Pakatan take over....?

Spare a Thought

With all the events happening in our country at light speed, I think many can be forgiven for being exhausted or even clueless as to what is happening right now. With the amount of spin by MSMs, we are even more confused rather than informed of the situation.

First we have our C4 DPM embroiled in the Altantunya murder... and Rosmah's name was dragged in as well by none other than RPK. Then we have one Saifool claiming that Anwar sodomised him... if that is not enough, we also were treated to some disobedience by Terengganu Exco who bought Mercedes for themselves and challenge Pa Lala to also ask ACA to investigate Monsoon Cup matters amongst others... definitely "lawan towkay" moves by Terengganu. Phew... you thought that it was just about that! Were we wrong... so very wrong... PAS-UMNO secret talks on unification!? Unthinkable happens! Well.. WELCOME TO MALAYSIA.

How can we Malaysians go to bed every night thinking, it will be a new day tomorrow without thinking.. What are these mofos going to come up next?

Hello BN! Since the election, we have had rice going up through the roof... even today when the prices have come down, with some say its only about 15% above the normal before the drastic increase, the retail price doesn't seem to reflect the actual market price.... why? Bernas screwed up? Bought high and now it has to be stuffed down our throat at high prices to maintain your profits?

Then they groan saying "we cannot sustain any more subsidies on fuel." It was USD130/barrel then... they raised petrol by 78sen and proclaim that they are still continuing with 30sen/ litre subsidy. Today its USD122/barrel.... pump prices are still kept at RM2.70... someone is making millions....

Then TNB says, its my turn... we, the rakyat getting screwed again! Electricity up 20%!

Poor rakyat gotta change lifestyle again!!!!

Next, our kids will have to walk to school... yeah... talk about changing lifestyle... BUS FARE GOES UP!

The government has agreed to raise fares for express and stage buses, but not up to 100 percent as proposed by the Pan Malaysia Bus Operators' Association (PMBOA)

Poor rakyat gotta be thankful that the government has "cleverly" negotiated the increase to not meet 100% of what was proposed!!!

Would you want to speculate what else is going to go up? Read BH today and a pic shows fishing boats grounded.... no more subsidized diesel.... I think with whatever space you have at home, please plant your own vegetables... going vegetarian isnt all that bad. Apparently it reduces flautulance and indirectly methane gas that is bad for the environment. We will also cut down on meat demand! Meaning they will rear lesser cows and I was told that cow farts causes the depletion of the ozone layer! Vegetables are good, it emmits O2! At least thats what I learnt back then in school.

Poor Clef been complaining about the rise in bus fare. I urge her to... change lifestyle... again... change lifestlye... listen to our government... they know best... they are the smartASS!

RPK not far from truth

Read this piece of news from Malaysiakini entitled "Saiful's Uncle Rubbishes leaked Medical Report"

I wont say anything else except... RPK aint far from the truth. RPK's take.

Gotta add this, I was laughing....

Land Deals - Hilmi admits....

Cornered with nowhere else to run, admits his fault to part of the landscam deals reported to be investigated earlier by Penang Government.

"I feel responsible because the error happened then," said Hilmi. "An error occurred and the decision was already made."

With nowhere else to hide he has to make that statement of being responsible? Or was he BIG enough to take responsibility? Joe thinks its a combination of both... but he cannot just say its an error after all the litany of errors which was clearly an abuse of their authority. He was merely saying, "nasi sudah jadi bubur... apa boleh buat?"

Helmi has admitted... has Abdul Rashid? I guess this is just the tip of the iceberg and the "Kucing" government of Penang may have just earned a feather to its cap. Penang is moving in the right direction and I hope Lee Kah Choon will work hard to bring more FDIs into the island to make up for lost time in the past.

Destination: Kulim - Bandar Bahru

Gee... now I must be kicking myself for moving to KL and register to vote in KL while my hometown is taking all the glory.

Kulim-Bandar Bahru. Is set to be the showdown between Anwar and a water fish from Barisan... which will most likely be his former protege.. Ezam.

A known BN stronghold in the past, the landscape of Kulim has changed dramatically after the Hi Tech Park was built. More and more professionals are making Kulim their home. Gone are the days when chicken rice was RM1.30 and kopi peng was RM0.50. Today, Kulim is a thriving town with many making it their home. Prices of homes have also soared in this sleepy town. Many are building their bungalows in the town. Probably a steal by KL standards, getting a piece of land and building a 5000sq feet bungalow can cost as low as RM300k and while some of the people I know have built some VERY nice homes for less than RM500k. Phew.. am I selling houses in Kulim? Guess not.. LOL. But, if one were to know the town well, there are still places where you can still get nasi lemak for 50sen.....

BN, welcome to your waterloo. I will canvass with my dad and friends to ensure a Pakatan win if ever a by-election is called here (Kulim). And if in the event it does not happen in Kulim, it will probably happen in Bandar Tun Razak... ermm.. looks like at last I can rejoice as I will be playing a part in making it HAPPEN! Yes, BTR is my constituency! Either way, I will be able to "contribute". My dad and friends, together with my friends will make this by-election a very memorable one. 2 generations of Kulim-gites will make the difference... Kulim is ready but I am skeptical really... 15000 people at Kulim Chinese Recreation Club grounds.... that number was.. MIND BLOWING. Dad and friends were there too, their estimate was... chin chia cheh lang ter tiuk la... sui beh liao! (literally means: loads of people... uncountable).

Jewel of RPK

RPK... one man that the government is trying hard to silence but is unable to. He has come up with many damning accusations on the administration, yet many of his detractors are saying that RPK is one man who has written too much fiction that he is now lost in between his truth and fiction.... hell yeah... he released something that maybe damned these people... he really showed them that RPK is still very much at it and there is no way that he could be silenced or discredited anytime soon.

Last week he again accused the government of fabricating evidence against Anwar. Many of his critics say that RPK is only hell bent on putting Anwar as the Prime Minister of Malaysia and all his accusations today are mere acts of desperation. Well, think again.

RPK released the medical report purportedly by one Dr. Mohd Osman from Hospital Pusrawi. Read it all Malaysia Today. Apparently the Doctor TRO (Totally Rule Out) Sodomy. But advise him to go to a government hospital and noted that the patient intended to make a police report. However, we really wonder what is the report from the government hospital?

Hats off to the Doctor for coming clean on the matter. I am sure RPK will not let go on this as I would like to see more evidence exposed by him. Honestly, I think he is a better journalist than any of our MSM reporters put together.

But the following para in RPK's article should cause much alarm..

The doctor’s report says it very clearly. Saiful was never sodomised, either by Anwar or anyone else. Why is the government still pursuing the case against Anwar? And why are they looking for the doctor who has now gone underground with his whole family?

Civil society movements, NGOs and the Malaysian Bar Council must not remain silent. The police have already detained the doctor for three days but he still refuses to doctor his medical report. Anwar did not sodomise Saiful and the doctor’s report says it very clearly. And the police also have a copy of this same report that I have published below so they know what I know. And now Malaysians also already know what I and the police know -- that Saiful was never sodomised by anyone.

Malaysiakini carry the report here

Mohamed Osman, according to his medical report which was recorded at 2.14pm, found "zero active bleeding", "zero ulcer or pus", "zero tear and scar" in Saiful's anus.

Looks like he got sodomized in a land far far away.... by his imaginary friend...

A check at the emergency unit where Mohamed Osman is attached revealed that he has taken leave since last week.....

It is learnt that the police have recorded statements from Mohamed Osman after Saiful lodged the report against Anwar.

The doctor was said to be under tremendous stress as a result of the police interrogation and was advised by the hospital to take leave.

Fishy..... smell something like our dear PI Bala? Only difference is he has not come up with another medical report and claim the first one made under DURESS! But I wonder DURESS by who?

Updates:

HERE.

Police comes out with guns blazing... denying that they have arrested Dr. Osman and claimed that the report put up by RPK and Malaysiakini was an attempt to sabotage their investigation. Joe thinks how can a medical report published sabotage their investigation?

Moreover, this is what Ezam has to say...

"The report is not verified yet. We also don't know if it is true."

Well... I wonder if he is talking about the authenticity of the report itself or the contents. The police in this case did not contest the authenticity of the report, and since it was by an MO, it must be TRUE to his professional opinion as it also recommends the patient to go to the General Hospital for another checkup if indeed he wants to lodge a police report. But Ezam needs to show loyalty... and loyalty calls for him to leave his brain cells at home.

First ICT Hub? Pahang?

Here

Err if Pahang is to have their first ICT Hub... with investments totalling RM10bil-RM20bil.... err.. I seriously wonder where is the money coming from... which investor would want to risk it?

I thought we already have various ICT Hubs? MSC? Cyberjaya? Northern Hub... Southern Hub... Car hub caps?

I smell another big time Real Estate deal... just like all the other corridors... that remain very very narrow corridors....

`The companies and financial institutions have given their commitment to provide financial back-up for the project,'' he added.

He said it was understood that a sum of RM10bil would be allocated by the Government to develop ICT facilities.

Govt got so much money? When they postponed or rather entombed Penang's monorail project for a measly couple of billion and having such difficulty working out the increased cost of the 2nd Penang bridge for 4.8bil, and the government would just allocate Rm10bil for this? in Pahang?? Where exactly? Pekan?

Of Mercedes and Perdana....

Previously

The whole country was set abuzz when Terengganu when they "defied" Federal Government's directive that all Government officials must use the National Car. Proton that is.

These folks in Terengganu then told Federal Govt.. to go fly kite... they are going for the spanking new Mercedes E200 Kompressors.... One of the country's poorest states is getting Mercedes for their Exco Members. Wonder if other states will go down the same road?

Initially the whole fiasco involved the cabinet as well! Gosh... the wayang involving the "director and producer even in cameo appearance". Cabinet decided to "reprimand" the State for "going against" directive..... konon...

Today, they Director say, "Sorry ah... you guys can go on using the Merc. Wayang time over liao."

Further to that some news with regards to repair cost... some interesting comments HERE

Apparently State Treasury takes about 1 to 2 months to pay the workshops... I see... A workshop owner admitted that he charges 25% more because of that. Whoa!!!! Ah long also wont get such a rate man! 25% for 1 or two months!?

Reading pleasure: HERE

A WHOPPING RM235,123.08 was paid to maintain the Proton Perdana V6 Executive used by former Terengganu Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh from 2004 to this year, Utusan Malaysia reported.

The daily said that state Commerce, Industry and Environment Committee chairman Toh Chin Yaw's vehicle cost RM175,229.79 to maintain.

The third on the list was state Agriculture and Regional Development Committee chairman Datuk Mohd Jidin Shafie (RM95,178.15) while the fourth was current Mentri Besar Datuk Ahmad Said (RM92,995.18).

Among all, Datuk Wan Hisham Wan Salleh recorded the lowest figure where only RM15,069.32 was spent on maintenance of his vehicle.

Both Mohd Jidin and Wan Hisham bought the cars for their personal use.

Err... so we are led to believe that all the councillors work "very hard" while Datuk Wan Hisham is the laziest of the lot? Or is he the most honest of the lot? Even the current MB is not spared... Rm93k over 4 years?

With such maintenance cost, they might as well change car every 2 years!

Proton however came out to save their own butt when they say no warranty claim was forthcoming from Terengganu state government... so now whose fault? Who makan-ed?

Joe thinks, easiest is to point the finger to the Driver lor... the driver collaborated with the workshop. Wishy washy investigation.. case closed. Everything okay... life goes on... and on...

Err.. by the way, Selangor, arguably the "Most Developed" state in Malaysia is considering Toyota Camry....

Wither New Signings

As the new season opener draws closer for Barclays Premier League, my hope for Manchester United to sign a couple of players dim by the day.

After a highly successful season culminating in them winning the coveted Champions League at Luzhniki now is a distant memory as Sir Alex Ferguson struggles to keep the team together. I think he has his thoughts as to why and how he wants to retain Cristiano Ronaldo. I have given up on him. For me, a player who no longer wishes to play for you do not deserve a place in the team.

He is however, STILL, SAF's blue eyed boy in the Manc's outfit. Yesterday we had Tevez coming out and urge the team to just let him go if he so stubbornly wanted to... I still believe we should just sell him. I do not think any amount of fantastic display next season by him will endear him back to the fans. Rightfully, the fans forgave him for what he did to Rooney while on England duty... that was England. Today, we are talking about him pushing the patience of fans rooting for the team in RED. I for one do not think that many would welcome him back after this strained episode.

Ronaldo aside, I hope we can get loads of moolah from his sale. I am still itching to know if SAF has got any signings in the bag!!!??? Dmitar Berbatov? He would guarantee us at least 25 goals a season... but I would prefer to see Huntelaar in the red of Manchester United. Still have not lost hope of having Wesley Sniejder and Sergio Ramos playing for us. They would be great replacements for Scholes and Gary Neville.

Sir Alex, please do not let us wait too long to see a fresh new face at Old Trafford... with pretty much nothing to show so far... I hope action comes thick and fast after the team's return from South Africa!

Soap Opera Malaysia Style

Said Hamid says, "We have nothing to hide!" and HERE

Must be all nice and dandy after Rais sent in the letter telling US to butt out of the matter... Botak may have thought he is safe to come out and say something more..... "credible"

Excerpts:

'He said 96 representatives from foreign embassies and consulates, including the Turkish and American ambassadors, were satisfied with his explanation on the case."

Makes me wonder what did he tell those flers in the meeting and what gives him the impression they are all happy about his explanation? Why would Ms. Rice be making that statement?

An Asean diplomat who also attended the briefing said Syed Hamid assured the envoys that the investigations into the allegations against Anwar were done in accordance with the law.

The diplomat said Syed Hamid also told them that they had a video of how Anwar was treated while in police custody but did not show it to them.

This one baffles me..... read between the lines what the diplomat is saying and what Hamid perceives.

Alas! Condoleeza Rice gave a stinging reminder to those who thought they had "indefatigable evidence" against Anwar that US (the self proclaimed Tai-Kor) that, it is NOT and INTERNAL AFFAIR.

Then... Kuala Lumpur tells Washington... "SHADDAP YOU!"

I wonder if Hamid is going to froth yet again and go off tangent and mutter something incomprehensible like he did on Hardtalk after this round of "everything ok" then "tak ok" situation.

Now I know why he is losing hair..... by the way Hamid.. we still remember the chaotic traffic scenes the last two weeks and we are still not amused by all your stupid statements about the need for DNA. With all these "issues" affecting your credibility.. I suggest, you tender your resignation with immediate effect.

MCA - Obedience is our middle name

No wonder some quarters are calling them Malaysian Chau-Kau Association (running dog - literal translation).... and they lived up to their reputation. HERE.

PETALING JAYA, MCA Youth chief Datuk Liow Tiong Lai said the party would view the talks between Umno and PAS from a “very open-minded perspective”.

“We see it as an effort to unite the Malay community. It’s a sign that the party leadership is taking unity as a matter of utmost importance,” he told reporters after launching Pharmaniaga’s Excellent Vendor Awards ceremony here yesterday.

“We all want unity, we all want harmony and stronger cooperation for the benefit of the rakyat,” he said.

When they are needed to make a statement to do the bidding of their political masters, you can count on MCA and MIC to do it with excellence. This time round Liow Tiong Lai came out in defence. But with 50 years of 2/3 majority, I would take that as harmony and strong co-operation.... what have we got to show for it?

While BN has been criticising PR in their effort to get MPs from Sabah and Sarawak to hop border on treason. Jumping to PR means denying the fact that these MPs stood on BN's ticket and thus has betrayed the voters choice.. blah.. blah... blah.... money involved blah blah blah..

There they go courting PAS promising MB deputy MB and deputy PM 2 position and all and its on the basis of Malay unity. Isnt that corruption at its best? Won't PAS also be betraying their electorate? What the hell are they talking about?

Then and Now

1969 was a black spot in our history. Many stories were told about the origin of the riot. Some pointed it to then Selangor MB, Harun Idris. While the "accepted" version did not implicate Harun as the instigator, nevertheless, today the former MB of Selangor Khir "Perasan Hensum" Toyo tried to stoke more racial based statements... HERE.

Excerpts

He said Umno and PAS could form a synthesis in championing Malay interests in the state which fell into opposition control.

"Unfortunately the influence of Anwar in PAS through the party's secretary-general Kamaruddin Jaafar blocked the initiative."

"As long as Anwar is important in Pakatan Rakyat the muzakarah will not succeed. Anwar does not want to see Malays unite and that is why he formed Pakatan that thrives on the ideals of equality to the extent of elevating other religions on the same par as the primary religion in this country, Islam," he added.

Seditious? In the first place.. Toyo, are you a pure bred Malay? So, anyone who does not think PAS and UMNO should work together are traitors? Does UMNO has the God given rights to be the sole champion of Malays?

Khir said this was proven by the fact that Anwar was being supported by 'extremist' Chinese and Indians via opposition party DAP and the Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf).

Just because UMNO wants to work with PAS, PAS is no longer extremist. But, Chinese and Indians who do not support MCA, or MIC are considered extremist. Gosh... where did he put his brain!?

"We must first get rid of the politics of hate, slander and revenge among the Malays. It must begin with the younger generation understanding that a Malay majority is only meaningful if it is used to better the Malays.

Such perversion... no wonder Malaysia under BN all these while cannot progress... your idea is that you need 100% YES MEN only can you progress. Wonder where he learn it from? Only a Malay majority can it be used to better the Malays... Dei! You had 50 years of 2/3.... what happened? Years of NEP.... meaningful? Fruitful? Success? Failure? 50 years!! Well, you do decide.

DNA Samples Anyone (The Sequel)

In my earlier article on DNA Samples Anyone.... I wrote about our PM being advised by someone when he said,

Accordingly our PM was told "He was told that the sample taken in 1998 was too old and the authorities needed a fresh sample for their investigation."

That was told to him by the "Authorities". Specialists? or Police?

Clearly he has not answered as to who his advisors were.... on Page 5 of The Sun today, "A Specialist" supposedly Oxford trained medical scientist specialising in molecular medicine, Dr. Syahril Abdullah said that "DNA is NEVER too old" For credits, he is attached to the Clinical Genetics unit, Molecular genetic Laboratory, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Putra Malaysia. He also did speculate as to why new samples are needed... as the old ones may have been used up already hence the need for a new one or that it was really poorly kept but since tests has been done in the past, it is supposedly under CODIS (International DNA database) hence an easier way to match is to get those already recorded under CODIS.

Now will our PM stand up and tell us who are the monkeys that makes him look like an idiot 2 days ago? While other MSM is trying to play up Saiful's father's challenge, I do not think many would be lulled into thinking that his challenge is of much weight.

Sodomy aside, I think Anwar has more problems ensuring that there are no frogs from his end as well as PAS's outright discussion with UMNO which PR played down while UMNO is trumpeting it like a victory... he should not take this lightly if he harbours hope of forming the next government. Failure to address and arrest this matter may be the hinge that holds it all together. Maybe Anwar knows more than most of us on this matter, as to whether it was a ploy or it was a genuine effort in the talks? Time will tell.

Hydrogen Power

Over the last week, there was this news that I read that a 100% owned Bumi company has managed to produce a contraption that breaks down hydrogen on demand from water to be used in your car as FUEL. Apparently, well, if I am not mistaken, that is on a test basis at the moment where taxis are being used to test out the gadget. Also it claimed to be able to be fitted onto cars below 1000cc, I think this might as well put NGV out of business.

Prior to this, my friend has also told me that someone he knows has fitted his car with this gadget... costing below 2k. Claimed to be able to save up to 50% of fuel, I think 2k is a really small price to pay, considering the fact that NGV tank cost anything from 2k-4k to install.

Today in The Sun, it was reported that another company has successfully tested on busses and Mercedes Benz and was unveiled by Ong Tee Keat on Thursday. H-Fuel System claims to provide fule savings for both the diesel and petrol engine.... Touted as fuel saver and does not compromise on power and torque coupled with its environmentally friendly emission, this may be our ultimate choice of contraption for our car in the light of sky-rocketting fuel prices as well as deteriorating environment.

I am sure over the next 12 months, many more companies will come out with such a contraption. If I am not mistaken, about 2-3 years ago, there was this Professor from Malaysia who claimed that he wanted to produce a water powered car.... I think its becoming a reality. Ability to produce hydrogen on demand eliminates the need to store hydrogen which makes it very safe... as storing it can be very difficult due to its highly flammable nature.

I think, the purified water stations around will have better business with this contraption.... fill up water and GO! Even a savings of 30% of gas would have made the contraption a success... if they can really save 50% in their infancy... I think this product has a great potential ahead!

I cant find the link in their online news.. appreciate if you guys can find that link!

Got one here, here. On Hydroxene (2006)

A forum discussion on why the water professor resurfaced... :)

Bar from Probe?

Police chief and the attorney-general will be excluded from an investigation against opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim who has been accused of sodomy, the prime minister said.

Full Joose... HERE.

Not participating does not mean they cannot exert influence.. right? Since they are still the top dogs in their respective jurisdiction? Who is Abdullah trying to fool?

Certainly Sivarasa only state the obvious...

"This shows some acceptance of the controversial role that they have played in the past, in the 1998 case," said Anwar's lawyer and PKR vice-president Sivarasah Rasaiah.

"However that does not still address our concerns because it does not take much imagination to see how both the police chief and the AG could still direct operations even while not being involved," he told AFP.

Idris or Said.....

Terengganu under Idris....

Monsoon Cup... where all the contracts to develop the state purportedly went to contractors out of the state. Idris has "failed" to ensure oil royalty money going back to the state and although he led BN to victory in the last GE, he was unseated as the MB... so they chose Said to be their MB instead.

This is what happens.. HERE

The state bought 14 of the luxury cars for RM3.43mil to replace the Proton Perdana V6 Executive cars that had been purchased in 2004.

The new cars are for the exco members, the state assembly speaker, the state secretary, the state legal adviser and the state finance officer.

The new cars with tinted windows carry the state emblem with the wording “Exco Kerajaan Negeri” embossed on the number plate.

State Secretary Datuk Mokthar Nong said the decision to use Mercedes-Benz cars was made several months ago.

The state took delivery of the cars earlier this month.

He said the German cars were bought for the safety of the state officials who had to travel extensively and to reduce the cost of maintenance.

This is probably why they need the oil royalty for.... and also to tell Proton... you suck! eh? But they deflected it saying they did not use oil royalty for the purchase and shifted the blame back to Idris... hahahaha... good one...

Here

Of course they don't! They utilized the oil money for other contracts and siphon the money into buying Mercedes! Does not take a do-do to understand that. While Penang Councillors are still using their Perdanas, I wonder why they need to change the 4 year old Perdanas... must be total wreck after 4 years huh? That the cost of maintenance is so high!?

Maybe they are afraid that they may hit a cow or two along fenced TOLLED highways... (read The Sun today... MAIN PAGE! where 2 die along the highway after their car ram into a COW!)

Updates HERE. Claims of maintenance cost of Perdana to be RM175k to RM225k! Some blog information.

DNA Samples Anyone?

On one hand we have our PM saying that the 1998 DNA samples TOO old..... here.

Accordingly our PM was told "He was told that the sample taken in 1998 was too old and the authorities needed a fresh sample for their investigation."

That was told to him by the "Authorities". Specialists? or Police?

Now it is clear that even the PM is joining the chorus of bandwagon on asking DSAI to prove his innocence by giving his DNA samples...

"If he is not guilty, why worry about giving a new DNA sample. If he is indeed innocent, there is nothing for him to fear," he said.

He went on to say:

"There is no conspiracy or action to frame him for anything. The government is innocent in this matter," said Abdullah.

Like hell yeah.... How can this be when the IO back then in 1998 and AG today who was the prosecuting officer still around and helming the highest office in their respective roles who has tried to plant DNA evidence against DSAI in the past?

PM's added assurance is indeed puzzling,

"When his wife (Wan Azizah Wan Ismail) came to me asking for a guarantee that Anwar wouldn't end up with a black eye, I gave my assurance.

Oh gee.... but he got stripped and "measured"

But the twist is this.... HERE

"Specimen can be conserved for YEARS." says an expert.

Err... so maybe PM is a better expert?

The expert said while a DNA sample cannot be manipulated, it can however be planted as evidence.

"If it (the DNA) is there, it's there, if it's not there, it's not there. But manipulation of evidence may occur if (say) you go to the blood bank, get a pint of blood and plant it on the mattress," he said.

This is where the fear is... wouldn't it?

Anyway, let the "experts" figure it out. I have yet to see how can our PM assure the public that the investigations will be carried out in a fair manner with a police force helmed by the IGP whom he had reported to ACA for fabricating evidence? Doubtful...

How do you define...

Personal attacks? Character assasination?

This is what our mis-Information Minister has to say:

Here

Personal attacks would be more about criticising what he likes, his clothes or his face,” Ahmad Shabery told reporters at the Parliament lobby yesterday.

Malaysia's Information Minister

I swear I saw the dribble/ foam at the sides of his mouth the night after the debate.....

Tajuddin oh Tajuddin....

Tell me you are saying all these to bring down BN's already fragile government....

Tajuddin: You shut up! You shut up! I have children studying in England, Ireland and Australia and they have no scholarships. But I want rural Malays and lower income groups - even in Sabah and Sarawak - to get scholarships, like what is said in the constitution!

Combination of unruly words.... boastful yet "righteous" down to "compassionate". This guy has it all... On an MPs pay which does not amount to much really... kids studying overseas.. hmmm..

Kulasegaran:
In Pasir Salak, are there no Chinese and Indians?

Tajuddin: You think you are so smart? Penyokong Hindraf! Penyokong Hindraf! (Hindraf supporter! Hindraf supporter!) Anti-Malaysia.

Racist? I would not say its racist.... BLOODY RACIST more like it... another uncalled for remark.. will do nothing to help his popularity...

Tajuddin defends remarks

Met later outside the House, Tajuddin defended his verbal assaults on Kulasegaran.

"I'm not racist. I've stated it before, if you want to help the non-Malay students, especially those who are doing well in their studies, by all means do it. But why not do it in such a way that is not at the expense of bumiputera students because if we do that, we will fail in our national integration and unity," he said.

Why then if he is not racist, he categorize "But I want rural Malays and lower income groups - even in Sabah and Sarawak - to get scholarships, like what is said in the constitution!"

Bumiputras = Malays? ONLY? Righteous? Racist?

Tajuddin, simple, the cake is only that big.... you can take it all for yourself and leave nothing for others... how would you then expect others to help develop this country? I would also want to know how can national integration and unity fail if 100% of the scholarships are not given to Malays?

Are you meaning to say that if Malays are not given the scholarships they cannot integrate into the society? What utter bollocks!

Anwar Out on Police Bail

The sane thing to do... moreover I think its the best thing to do.... wont be good having Anwar and RPK in there.... more to follow as Anwar is due to have a PC @ 2pm later today.

Anwar out on Police bail
Anwar Stripped
Anwar recounts detention
Anwar's Press Statement
Botak Says: Police Chose Best Option

I would not want to speculate what is their worst.....

Let the Truth Come Out

The gloves are off. News is that RPK is now at Police HQ.

Let the truth come out... can the police be impartial? Since the ones named by Anwar in his ACA statement is STILL the IGP? Can the truth come out? Since RPK named our no.2 who seem very very "powderful" to erase Bala out of the picture? Is Abdullah now rubbing his hands in glee? Now that no.2 is troubled and his main threat Anwar is crouching in lock up? Will 2010 ever happen? More crucially is Sept 16 anything but a smoke screen? Time for Anwar to reveal his hand... its SHOW HAND! BN led Govt has put everything at stake...

Ops Padam.... nevermind... rename it Ops Liquid Paper! White as snow again, unblemish... padam with rubber (eraser) still got marks left behind!

Anwar Arrested!

For the record it takes 15 police vehicles to accomplish the exercise! Either they fear he will pull out a Hollywood escape stunt or they are worried for his life.... If dua dua pun bukan, then?? 15 patrol cars!! He must be the most wanted CRIMINAL in the country. Heck.. didn't I just see him on TV yesterday? Yet he was soooo prophetic when he said, "I am not even PM. I dont even know what will happen to me tomorrow!" haha....

Taken from Malaysiakini.

Anwar arrested outside his house
Jul 16, 08 1:16pm

Opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim was arrested by the police just outside his home in Bukit Segambut, Kuala Lumpur, at 12.55pm today.

MCPX

The de facto PKR leader was on his way back to his house after being questioned by the Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA).

A team of police officers were waiting, according to lawyer R Sivarasa.

Anwar was driven away in a 4WD vehicle with tinted windows, escorted by a convoy of 15 patrol cars. They arrived at Kuala Lumpur police headquarters at 1.11pm.

It is believed that members of a special team from the serious crime division - sporting balaclavas and leather jackets - were also involved in the operation.

At 1.40pm, about 200 supporters and opposition parliamentarians were assembled outside the building. Among them is DAP leader Karpal Singh.

Anwar was to have met the police by 2pm to be questioned over the complaint of sodomy against him by a former aide.

According to media reports today, a warrant of arrest had already been obtained, to be used in the event of a no-show.

Anwar's wife and PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail confirmed the arrest.

She told reporters in parliament that she had received a call from Anwar and that he had complained of rough treatment by the arresting officers.

“I received a call from my husband that the police picked him up just before he reached the house," she said.

"I didn't have time to ask whether there was a warrant… He's on the way - this is my guess - to the Kuala Lumpur police headquarters, where he was supposed to report at 2pm."

Anwar also told her to return to their home first in order to calm their children and come to the police headquarters later.

"I'm apprehensive because my husband – it's been 10 years down the road. He is not well, he has a bad back for which he has (undergone) surgery," she added.

"From the brief conversation, he said that they (the police) were not gentle."

It is learnt that Anwar is to be charged under Section 377CA of the Penal Code, which reads: 'Any person who has sexual connection with another person by the introduction of any object into the vagina or anus of the other person shall be punished with imprisonment or a term which may extend to 20 years and shall also be liable to whipping.'

Eh... I thought he had a deadline of 2pm today? Why the hurry? If you already have intention to arrest him why even call him in for statement la? Arrest also got deadline one ah? But why breach the agreement? Before 2pm?

Whoa... how to prove he has sexual konek-tion? Got voyeurs around to prove? Geez... I thought these stuff only existed in the world of Xperteleven whereby we create news as spectacular as this. Wanna know more? Create an account and join me in the game! Haha....

Kevin Rudd and Whats Cooking...

When Kevin Rudd visited Malaysia not too long ago, he adhered to protocol to not pay Anwar a visit, which is fine really. 1 day, one may not have enough time so on and so forth... he went one step further to proclaim Malaysia's democracy alive and kicking.....

That got many riled up. My friend sent me this article which I think makes fair reading into why Rudd make that statement.... HERE.

Excerpts:

But for Mr Rudd to praise Malaysia's democracy as vibrant for the way it has handled its democratic transition takes the cake.

Malaysia was neither a dictatorship nor a totalitarian state from which to transit to democracy.

Rather, it is widely perceived that Malaysia is now headed the other way - from a democracy to feudalism characterised by patronage.

Mr Rudd must never forget that a nation that jails innocent people is hardly a vibrant democracy.....

So why is Mr Rudd so keen on ties with Malaysia's unsteady leadership?

The realpolitik has much to do with getting Malaysia's endorsement for Australia's bid to get a rotating seat in the UN Security Council.

Mr Rudd also seeks Malaysian acceptance of Canberra in the East Asian Economic Caucus, which Kuala Lumpur has always opposed for geographical and cultural reasons.

JOOSE? Maybe? Thanks Vince for the article.

Winners? Anwar v Shabeery?

I was impressed with Shabeery. Indeed he is a better choice compared to Zam. I find him able to hold his own but he seemed more interested in discrediting Anwar with personal attacks which is more akin to an election ceramah. He should have stuck to the arguments for topic of the day. His argument that the price increase is unfortunate as world prices is rising fast and Malaysia has no other option but to follow suit so as not to burden the government with astronomical subsidy and suffer other economic consequences. Great argument, but he failed to address the matter. With reduced subsidies, it merely means that there are funds to be channeled to other pressing matters which he has failed to mention.. because the government has not given any thoughts or having any plans to improve the situation. Out of the many issues that the public are concerned with, he merely touched on food security. The numbers do not add up... 78sen, save 50bil. Reduce 50sen cost 5bil. Eh? Do we need 50bil in food security? Not too long ago, we were told that 1.2bil would be spent on subsidy for rice while under 1bil will be spent on cooking oil.

1 hour is never enough to debate the matter. One should question who has more ideas in addressing the matter. I never agree that pump prices should be reduced. But, I do agree that leakages should be given priority. Sadly Shabeery did not touch on that. In fact, his Tonto, Tan Sri Dr. Ahmad Kardi made himself look stupid in his supplementary question. Instead of asking a question to put Anwar in a corner, he created a corner for Anwar to shut him up. Zulkifli Sulong fared a tad better but he also got shut up for not extrapolating the prices of petroleum after the 30sen hike. Both Tontos were made to look like fools that night.

I do not understand Shabeery, he has limited time to make it count for him to explain the government point as to why they increase pump prices, but he chose to attack Anwar on a personal level which Anwar I must say answered him in the most dignified manner in that he is there to debate the issue and not to attack a person personally. However, many of Shabeery's allegations fell flat except for the 1974 demonstration which left very much unanswered. But for the other attacks, it is either Anwar answered it well and Shabeery did not have the chance to counter, OR, our dear Information Minister was mis-Informed yet again on past. Allegations as to Anwar was part of the government when the IPP contracts were signed... to which I think Anwar scored great points here to say that Finance Ministry and Tan Sri Ani Arope objected to EPU and the Prime Minister then and thatTan Sri Ani Arope resigned as a result.... Shabeery must be blushing at his own mistake. Questions as to multi billion bailouts with public funds met with muted response. IPP soaring profits went unanswered. At least Sharir Samad gave a better insight when he argued that the profits will go back to TNB and not the government and that it is a temporary measure.. what about long term.... Damn... Sharir should be our PM instead of well...

Net importer by 2015! That was a topic but again Shabeery was made to blush. Anwar's answer was simple enough for man in the street to understand. The problem here lies not in Shabeery not being able to articulate himself well. He has proven that he can. Poise and confidence, he took Anwar head on, but he has precious little ammo to take him through. IF... only IF, the government has announced austerity measures ahead of the increase as well as put in place concrete plans for public transportation, education, health, infrastructure etc and THEN announce the increase for funds to fund these initiatives, it would have vindicated Shabeery. He was on the defensive from the word go and the only offensive he can offer were potshots at Anwar on a personal level.

Anwar on the other hand does not offer much either. But he did outline steps he would take to realize his "vision". Which I think is good enough for the time being. But he too failed miserably to talk beyond the price reduction. Maybe he wanted to stick to the topic of the day.

No winners last night but if it has been telecasted by RTM, more Malaysians would emerge winners as we see arguments from both sides for the first time on TV. A step in the right direction? I hope for more debates of this nature and hopefully the marshalls are not that zealous in breaking cameras, tripping people and hammering the journalists in scuffles after the debate.

Where one's source of Information?

Syed Hamid Albar, the MAN. He made Malaysia looked stupid on Hardtalk... he called Anwar a snitch without proof... and for the last few days, he almost made Kuala Lumpur looked like in a state of Emergency.

Police roadblocks everywhere leading to the city and he has Parliament House barricaded and off limits because he has information based on TWO blogs, TWO sms'es and TWO political speeches, that there will be a demonstration at Parliament House on Monday when the opposition are to debate on a vote of no confidence on PM.

He is the man with the same government that:

1. Put HINDRAF 5 into Kamunting purportedly having reliable information that linked them to LTTE, Tamil Elam Tigers in Sri Lanka.
2. That banned indelible ink at the last moment because the have reliable information that some ink has been smuggled in from Thailand by the opposition.
3. He is also THE MAN for calling Anwar a snitch but not providing "proof" to back up what he says.

Hello Botak, if there will be a demonstation, most SO-PO blogs would have written about it urging people to come in droves. It will not only be promoted by only TWO blogs. There will be millions of SMS'es sent to solicit support... not TWO sms'es. There will be MANY speeches to galvanize people to attend such an event.. not just TWO speeches. DUNGU!

Since you believe your sources so much, please enlighten us of your information. Do not give us a blog that nobody has heard of before. Do not give us obscure blogs that has a paltry number of visitors (like mine). My Blog certainly does not need credibility because I do not broadcast "Breaking News" merely political commentary and for "syiok sendiri" purposes. Give us something tangible! Also not forgetting give us information linking Anwar as a snitch! I would want to know as I do not want a "spy" to be our Prime Minister. If you can't then you have no CREDIBILITY to talk about giving proof as you have given NONE.

So before you talk further Syed Hamid... walk your talk first.

Updates:

Syed Hamid named 2 blogs as his reference to warrant the roadblocks:

Roadblock to Democracy

While Government will consider these roadblocks that infuriated rush hour go-ers on Monday morning as a necessity to quell "potential" disorder, their decision to arrest Anwar if he is within 5 kilometers from Parliament is another decision that baffles me. Why?? Why must you do that? Are you so fearful of Anwar? It is like by having him in Parliament would give the opposition powers like Peter Petrelli that they can sponge on Anwar's charisma.

Infuriating KL-lites after they voted you, BN out of Kuala Lumpur by imposing high parking fees and demolishing the hawkers suspected of supporting the opposition? Now, you are taking the chance to further anger city folks? With fuel prices sky high... we do not need people to impede our route to work which will cause higher fuel consumption! Idiots!

BN was voted out last time round for causing such discomfort during BERSIH and Hindraf rallies. Isnt that enough proof BN? Abdullah? Why insist on doing something bordering lunacy? Are you trying to ruin the country with all these scare tactics? I may be disenchanted with you... please do not make all of us pissed at you.....

Lunchtime, heard some more grovelling from my colleagues and friends who has no choice but to commute to work in the heart of KL daily. One of my colleague from Subang Jaya complained that it took him almost 2 hours to get to office today... most of my colleagues were horrendously late today and to my surprise not many of them knew the reason for the police road blocks! Damn.. talking about apathy and ignorance! The icing of the cake is one of my best buddy, staying in Klang and working in KL... took him 3.5 hours. He... was beyond grumbling...

I need a Pigging Break

I really wonder if working 5.5 day week is ancient? Think again... yours sincerely here is still working on alternate Saturdays. I really need those pigging hours now that I wake up before sunrise and do not go home way after the sun has gone to sleep.

The need to make sufficient to see our kids and parents have a decent life is eating us up. This morning's chat with my "friendly" mamak stall is still... well, "friendly."

How much do we pay for a plate of plain rice now? It used to be RM1/plate. Two weeks ago it was RM1.30/plate. I was told it has gone up to RM1.50/plate now. All these while I thought these flers are using the 15% broken composition where the price is fixed at RM16++/kilo.... why the increase? My teh tarik has gone up 20sen... my nasi lemak has gone up by 20sen to RM1/=. My telur mata kerbau has gone up to 80sen each!

That aside, broth with some chicken in it is RM3.50 for a miserable bowl! Makes Bubur Mc.D to be quite value for money if you take the ambiance into consideration! A night's out at hawker centre can cost a family of 4 some RM40/-. While a dinner at a cookout restaurant goes for slightly above RM50/- sans drinks. Which I told my kids, we save on drinks we can eat better stuff.

Last night, took my MIL out for her birthday dinner... cost me RM141.00! But it was a meal worthwhile for 4 adults and 2 kids. I noted that they did not charge the 10% and 5%. Co-incidentally when I reached home, TV was showing news that eateries with turnover below RM3 million would not be entitled to charge the 5% Service Tax now! YIPPPEEE!!! But sheeesh.. they did not say when? They only mentioned that those eateries must now "APPLY" to have it exempted! So? Do we now boycott eateries that charge 5% Service tax?

Prior to all these increases, I really do not mind paying the 10% and 5%, but it becomes significant when your meals are going by hundreds.... so I guess in a little way, we save by eating at small eateries that do not charge 5%. So, next time when you pay your dinner bill, please check for the 5% and demand to see the letter that they are entitled to charge the 5%! If all of us do, I think Shahrir's ministry will be inundated by complaints... haha

For all my industry, I think I will take this weekend to be my pigging break. Gonna sleep in late! Laze the entire Saturday... visit the park for some exercise and do a round of detox.... sigh... drinking olive oil is YUCKY!

Pak Lah to Resign?

June 2010 is the year stated that he will hand over the country's reins to his deputy...

Apparently he will announce this today.

Now will the music please start for the musical chair participants for UMNO's No. 2 position?

Or will Najib never see the light of day after all the bad news that he is facing right now?

Or is this just another flip-flop by Pak Lah? Resign? Not resigning? Resigning tomorrow?

Will this plan work out or will there be further twists to the saga come December? Will his announcement appease his detractors to nominate him for elections this December? Or will Ku Li, Muhyidin and others stage an upset of sorts? Or will they now play political posturing to gain at the end of the day? Will they go for broke?

I do not think this announcement will end the uncertainty... it will make things even more unpredictable. Especially with the proposed successor embroiled in so much controversy.

It means Fuck You La.. What else?

This is what a racist monkey does....

Youtube

from mobscrib

Watch it and if you believe he did this....

He initially denied... HERE

Then he retracted.... what is he trying to prove? Retraction is true. His first statement was made under duress? Probably caught red handed on video and that is why he was force to admit... BODOH..

What does he meant by he did it but is not what he meant?

Its universal language for FUCK YOU... isnt it? Dung? I mean Bung?

What has our August house mired in? Having racist morons like Bung still sitting in it making a mockery out of it?

A MORON, A LIAR, A RACIST.... you, Bung Mokhtar do not deserve your seat in the Parliament.

This is the sort of news that made me laugh and cry at the same time... laugh, for it was a joke that one cannot differentiate a "pop" and a "pat" sound... laugh because someone thinks he can take Malaysians as bloody fools. Cry.. because we have such characters in our Parliament... Cry because such people can get off without being punished... just because he sits on the right side of the fence.... at the moment.

My Favourite Team

Ahhh.. enough of politics....

But looking at the only team I supported since childhood isnt really that bright either... sigh...

After two seasons of winning the Premier League and having done the double last year, many would have expected Manchester United to maintain the core of the team and be THE club this coming season and have a real go at more titles this season.

But it seems to be falling off at its seams.

First it was Ronaldo... which I already had my piece here.

I am still of the opinion that no player is bigger than the club... if he so desires to go.. he should just do it. As in Ronaldo's case, if indeed Real Madrid thinks that he is the best player in the world, they should just cough up the amount needed. I would not mind really if its an exchange deal for Wesley Sniejder and Sergio Ramos.. haha

Then there seem to be some uncertainty in their backroom with Carlos Queiroz on his way to become the coach of the Portuguese national side after the departure of Luis Felipe Scolari to our flavoured rival at the moment Chelsea... and they seem to be playing real dirty for long with Big Phil urging Ronaldo to go to Real Madrid... haha... I have never regarded Chelsea as the biggest rival of Manchester United, they never will be. In fact they rank fourth in my most intense rival scale, first being Liverpool, followed by Arsenal and derby rivals, the blues of Manchester. That aside. The loss of CQ would be a huge blow to United in their quest for silverware next season, more so their ability now to hold on to players like Nani, Anderson and probably Manucho.

Manucho, the man who wreaked havoc in the last African Nation's Cup for Angola seem destined to follow the footsteps of great African players and to be the latest to grace the BPL stage after the likes of Okocha, Essien, Drogba, Adebayor, Toure amongst others. And he has to arrive INJURED! What else could have gone wrong for United next season has gone wrong!

Worse to follow, its been 2 weeks since Euro 2008 ended and there seem to be no light at the end of the tunnel as to any new talents are walking in to the famed Theatre of Dreams! Many would like to see the likes of Huntelaar, Sergio Ramos and Karim Benzema to grace Old Trafford but there is hardly any news on that. I hope Sir Alex will pull a rabbit out of the hat like he did last season with a surprise which brought Nani and Anderson to OT. Keeping my fingers crossed!

What is more important?

Facts of the case? Veracity of evidence gathered? Or swearing by the Quran?

I am no Muslim nor a religious expert. So, the sight of Rafidah swearing by the Quran sometime ago really amuses me... and now this? Asking Anwar to swear by the Quran? Saiful taking it a step further by issuing the challenge on his friendster page?

Not pointing who is less religious, I can bet you one thing.... a person who fear not the religion would not bat an eyelid to swear by any book you pass to him not even the book of faith he professes in. Eh?

Suddenly there is a chorus asking all and sundry to swear by the Quran... does it help? Really....

I dont know. What I know is, there is no smoke if there is no fire. Fire however can be self inflicted.. so Sodomy, Bala, Altantunya murder, Rosmah, Najib, RPK, Anwar and Saiful... are you gonna leave a cliffhanger or wut? Funny though, you realize the names like Abdullah and Khairy are not on the "In the News" list at the moment? Could this be the master stroke by Mr. Sleepyhead to make all the aspirants or contenders to his seat having a go at each other's throat so that he could consolidate power?

Or is it that, Anwar sees Abdullah as expired goods hence is not the primary target and that his ambitious No. 2 together with his wife pose a far greater threat to his aspiration to be PM? Or is KJ at last stealthily moving in the shadows to set these two on warpath so as to safeguard his dream of becoming PM after the next GE?

This one does not even need a season end cliffhanger... its a cliffhanger at the end of every episode!

PM's Word of Wisdom... is it?

Source: Malaysiakini.com

"There is no more regard for statements of truth in law. Little attention is given to (one's) demeanour in life. The sovereignty of the Rulers is turned into an issue," he said.

Abdullah said not all of the people believed in the negative perceptions but it was portrayed that more people had become trapped in that situation.

"Conduct attributed to the truth is not appreciated. What is appreciated is the perception, and along with it the lies.

"Perception negates the truth. The truth is no longer talked about. The important thing is the perception," he said.

Abdullah said perceptions had influenced the attitudes and options of some people in the making of decisions, including those related to investment and business.

He said this must be rectified but, unfortunately, it had become a subject which the people were most interested in, so much so that it had become word of mouth and they resorted to exaggeration.

"The people must be appeased so as not to have any fear of a possible shortage of food. They must be pacified so as not to have any worry over their own safety and that of their families," he said.

Our PM wants to be Socrates or Plato izit?

(from Mobscrib)

Now need to write Dear PM letter pulak.

Dear PM,

Before you lament about the current state of affairs as to why perception is preferred to conduct attributed to truth. Wait, before we proceed, how do you determine that the conduct attributed to truth to be true? While perception of lies to be lies?

People turn to their own instinct actually when it comes to accepting a perception. PM, IF... only IF, you have ensured the judiciary to be independent, the Police to be independent, the Media to be independent, the ACA to be independent. Then it will not lend much credence to a perception. Would it?

IF only you have ensured that PI Bala got the protection as accorded to Saiful, IF only you have not gone on hearsay to put HINDRAF 5 into Kamunting. IF only you have released them after there are no evidence linking them to terrorism. IF only you have ensured that indelible ink was used in the last GE and not retracted at the last minute due to some obscure reports of sabotage. I am sure, perception of your propagated lies will remain as LIES and your conduct of truth will remain as truth.

But alas, it was not to be. You have gone back on every word you have given. You have given the people many reasons to doubt your so called conduct of truth. Hence when the perception of lies can be validated by proof put forth while your conduct of truth remain just a verbal re-assertation, it becomes glaringly clear to many that the conduct of truth that you have been talking all these while has been your PERVERTED TRUTH that you believe in. Its no longer truth in the eyes of the people.

While your crusade against the perception of lies fell flat because of the victims have been able to provide proof to vindicate themselves off the truth you claimed them to be which was indeed nothing more but lies. This is what happens when truth are lies and lies are truth... people will begin to exercise their own judgement hence their perception. While you perceive it to be lies, we hold on to it as the truth till proven otherwise. What you deem as your conduct of truth, meanwhile has been disputed and smashed to smithereens with evidences put forth, thus you will need to build your credibility from scratch and nothing less than a genuine 100% effort to overhaul of the entire system is needed to bring back the credibility to your goodself. Nothing more than ensuring fairness in all decisions will it bring credibility back to your goodself. That reminds me... playing bully earns you 10 DISCREDIT POINTS. (eg. Reducing Federal Budget for Penang).

So dear PM, the decision is yours. Stop living in your cocoon. Come out into real world for once before you attempt another Socrates-sque statement.

Sunday Slumber... or Explosion?

(from Mobscrib)

I do not understand what PROTES is for.

Firstly you want to protest against the unjust fuel increases and hardships. Yet you have a day long "carnival" urging people to travel to participate. The "protest" was more of a fund raising campaign and selling of party paraphernalia... if you ask me. And why do we need a "rock concert"? We are there to send a message to the government! Not some kind of weekend day's off!

Pakatan, I still believe you guys can do a better job than BN. We need a viable government to manage the country... not an alternative government to organize rock concerts!

For all your endeavour in calling for fuel price reduction, you have not tabled an alternative measure to manage subsidies nor curbing the abuse of low fuel prices by foreign cars. You have not addressed the issue of smuggling of subsidized fuel. Although you propagate the use of Petronas's funds for the subsidies, you have not cast a sight into the future when oil runs out! You have not tabled a proper vision as to how you are going to manage the country!

So far, all I hear from Pakatan is, lower fuel prices, enticing frogs to jump and causing chaos in an already fragile political situation in the country. Maybe they are preying on the fragility. But, prey you must.. make it SHORT and DECISIVE please!

So, Pakatan, Sept 16 now looks pretty elusive.... what happens if Sept 16 came and went without much fanfare... what then will people think of Pakatan? Do it ... Just Do it... Malaysians have been let down for 50 years... so what the heck...

US Snitch... yet to sue?

After all the focus on Najib and Rosmah's unwillingness to sue RPK over his allegations of her presence at the scene of crime, I would also like to ask if Anwar for all intent has instituted legal proceedings against Syed Hamid for calling him a snitch?

He voiced out to a certain extent, but sadly he only extended a challenge to the Govt to prove that he is a snitch.

Anwar Ibrahim has challenged the government to either prove that he was an American ‘snitch’ or publicly apologise for the slanderous accusation.

Anwar called on Home Minister Syed Hamid Albar, the man who first made the accusation, to produce ‘proof’ in an open court.

“I am prepared to be dragged to court to answer the charges. If it cannot be proven, then the government and the minister should make a public apology for the disparaging statement,” he told some 30,000 people at the rally.

Why cant he be the one to drag Syed Hamid to court for libel and defamation? Why must he be prepared to be dragged to court? In order for Anwar to gain full trust of public he MUST initiate moves to prove his own credibility.

He has done a lot to discredit the government and to his credit they have not dared to drag him to court. That mean a lot to the court of public opinion. Indeed he is winning it there... but for him to totally win them over, there are few things he could do:

1. Sue Syed Hamid for calling him a snitch.
2. Prove once and for all the link between Najib and Altantunya. Stop playing trailers and teasers. Put up the right stuff.
3. Make the frogs hop NOW. Why wait till Sept 16? No doubt it is a symbollic date but..... we want to get on with our lives. Having some certainty helps...
4. Put on paper your plans. We have yet to see the economic blueprint you have for the country. Do not just point out the faults of the government. Tell us what you will do instead.

Police Investigate both SDs?

Righteous. Can I conclude that? Can they be impartial and fair to ivnestigate both SDs? Since they are suspiciously behind the reversal of the initial SD?

(Bernama) -- Police will investigate both statutory declarations made by P. Balasubramaniam even though the private investigator had retracted the earlier statutory declaration dated July 1.

Deputy Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ismail Omar said the police would still be carrying out their investigations as there might be hidden motives involved.

"We will investigate both. The one (he distributed) yesterday and the retractions he made today," he said when contacted.

Speaking through lawyer M. Arulampalam, Balasubramaniam told a news conference today that the statements contained in his previous statutory declaration were inaccurate and not the truth.

"I wish to retract the entire contents of my statutory declaration dated July 1, 2008. I was compelled to affirm the said statutory declaration under duress," he said in the new statutory declaration dated Friday.

Yesterday, Balasubramaniam, a witness in the Altantuya Shaariibuu murder trial, distributed a statutory declaration dated July 1, containing statements about Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak's alleged involvement with the Mongolian woman.

Najib denied the allegations and described them as malicious lies aimed at tarnishing his image.

Ismail said police would still investigate into the July 1 statutory declaration notwithstanding the retraction today.

"There might be intentions to create diversion... so we should carry out a thorough investigation," he said.

First and foremost, can the police confirm what happened to Bala when he went to Brickfields station right after the July 3 press conference? If and indeed the police were the ones that coerce him to change his stand, what credibility does the police have to investigate these SDs?

My view is it doesnt add up. When the July 1 SD was released on July 3, he seemed jovial and answered many questions posed to him although DSAI robbed him off the spotlight, which I believe is not what he craved for anyway. He looked smart in shirt and hair well combed. The SD took many many hours to compile. He has spent hours with his lawyer and had his SD stamped at a Commissioner who co-incidentally came from Slim River where Bala came from.

Fast forward a few hours later.... he appeared flustered... tired and dejected and he handed out his now infamous July 4 SD which retracted every word he has said in the July 1 SD. He refused to answer questions and walked away. His new lawyer said that he is under duress. While his second SD stated that his FIRST SD was made under duress.

Who or what do we trust? His looks and body language defying his signed SD? Or his signed documents?

Since he was last seen entering the police station, we can assume that since then till the time he appeared at Prince Hotel, he was then made to come up with the second SD, or rather it was already there just for him to sign! Imagine an SD that took days and hours to write up... he now comes up with one in a matter of hours to deny every word that he has uttered in the first! How is that for efficiency!

Since there are two conflicting SDs now to come out from one person, I for one found the first one very sensational and too clear to believe it to be totally true. After July 4 SD, it has made me believed the first to have more essence of truth than I thought it should contain... enough truth to cause some "powers that be" to ensure the changes to mitigate the damage and discredit the very person who could cause it... no.. not Anwar but Balasubramaniam, the PI. With Bala compromised and possibly neutralized, Anwar is now left alone... unless he has more compelling evidence to prove that Najib did in fact know Altantunya? The rumoured picture? CCTV footages? Anwar would have been world's greatest PI if he were to have in his posession real compelling evidence of the greatest cover up in Malaysia.... to date.

SHOW HAND!

In a poker game of high stakes..... Anwar calls, RPK's SD..... UMNO mulls the options... up the stakes.... Saiful's allegations of sodomy by Anwar.....

Anwar takes a hard look at the table.... pushes half his chips to the middle... Up the stakes even further.... Bala's SD....

UMNO saw the bluff... immediately UPPED the stakes ... counter SD by Bala....

Will this poker game go on and on?? Will Anwar up the stake further??? Not much time left... could it be time to SHOW HAND?? Is this UMNO's ALL IN? will there be more to come??

Is Bala's about turn another gem by Anwar to prove that indeed there are forces that tries to suppress information from going through? Or is this Anwar's waterloo??? If Anwar does not chicken out... its time to put all the cards on the table and the stakes..... winner takes all... the problem is I am not sure if we are even at the "FLOP" yet.... let alone thinking that the "RIVER" has been dealt.

Or could it that Bala's retraction part of the plan? It is a no brainer to let Bala return to police station without lawyer's escort. Was that done on purpose? So that "coercion" can take its course? Najib has not said anything since last night... so is he happy now that his "ITS A LIE" rhetoric is now vindicated? Or is he more confused at the retraction?

Update.

Whatever it is, the stakes are now so high... it concerns the lives of people... I hope PKR and DSAI in particular will take heed that people's lives take precedence over political show... put forth all your evidence and help the frogs to make up their minds. If they jump, you form the government, if they dont, then you wait your time and allow BN to run the show until the next opportunity comes along AND... we allow the due process of investigation and judiciary to take its course.

Lagi No Sense...

Now what??? Somebody force Bala to make the SD? Now he is making another one??? Who force who? Who is telling a lie? Bala lost his credibility? As the plot thickens... we poor mofos just sit and wait for Armageddon... is this the 3rd SD that was being talked about by Rockybru? Discrediting Subra or he discredit himself? Subra liwat Anwar pulak... aisayman!

from Malaysiakini

Private detective P Balasubramaniam today retracted his stunning statutory declaration which had linked Deputy Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak to murdered Mongolian Altantuya Shaariibuu.

MCPX

The said declaration also had claims that Najib had a sexual relationship with Altantuya and that he was the one who had introduced Altantuya to Abdul Razak Baginda.

Balasubramaniam said that he was forced to make the declaration under duress. At a press conference in a hotel in Kuala Lumpur this morning, he produced a new statutory declaration. Missing from the new statutory declaration were references of Najib having a sexual relationship with Altantuya nor of Najib being the person who allegedly introduced Abdul Razak to the Mongolian woman.

Also with the PI this morning was his new lawyer. His other lawyer, Americk Sidhu, who was with him yesterday was unaware of the latest development. The press conference is still underway.

I mean... what power does DSAI have la to put Bala under duress? His butthole was laid bare for Anwar ah? He ditched his lawyer for a new one? under 24 hours?

Bala's First Statutory Declaration

Bala's Second Statutory Declaration

Damn.. its getting murkier.... the SD "was
affirmed before commissioner of oaths Zainal Abidin Muhayat, bearing an address that is traced to Zul Rafique & Partners - a pro-establishment law firm owned by Zulkifly Rafique who is Federal Territories minister Zulhasnan Rafique's brother."

More than meets the eye? Star carries the story.....

A visibly perturbed Balasubramaniam remained mum on Friday when met by pressmen who had rushed to a hotel here where his new lawyer Arulampalam Mariam Pillai accompanied him for the brief press conference. Arulampalam also refused to entertain pressmen, giving only a brief statement that his client was under duress and that he was upset.

He certainly seem upset and under duress today..... but was he so yesterday?

Looked more relax aint it? moreover he fielded questions from the press.... this is what the Star wrote about the mood today...

Dressed in a cap and T-shirt Balasubramaniam refused to answer questions posed to him and left quickly after his lawyer distributed the second statutory declaration to reporters.

I wonder what does the body language tells us....

Does not make sense....

Najib's involvement in Anwar's sodomy case, a trail of statements made: at the end I cannot complete the equation....

Najib's denial

Datuk Seri Najib Razak denied that he had anything to do with the sodomy allegations against Parti Keadilan Rakyat de-facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Najib said a picture of Anwar's former aide with his (Najib's) official Khairil Annas Jusoh at the deputy prime minister's office, which was featured in numerous blogs, was taken three months ago when the aide went to his office to seek a government scholarship.

He said the aide was a student leader and had met with his officer on the matter.

"I am not involved at all in this case. I am not behind it. The most important thing is, did the act take place? That is for the police to investigate," he said at a press conference at the parliament lobby today.

Further from Malaysiakini.

Then the admission:

To be fair to DPM, I have not read any news saying he denied meeting Saiful at all before last night's admission that he met Saiful a few days before the report was lodged. He however denied encouraging Saiful to make the report.. hmmm...

Talking about being drama king... after admitting he met Saiful

"I don't dare to say. He looks genuine as he was in fear, his hands were seram sejuk (cold) but I dare not draw a conclusion, I advised him that 'you decide for yourself'," said Najib.

Oooooh... You touched his hands?

"He (also) came to my house because he needed help because he was so traumatised, so that was it.

Err.. Mr. DPM, can I come to your house too? Because I am indeed traumatized..... If every Tom Dick and Harry can come to your house... then what???? Just because he knows your special officer? By the way, you said that he came to your office 3 months ago to seek a scholarship... a dropout can ask for a favour from you to obtain a scholarship? And should 1 meeting suffice for him to get to know your officer so well that he could use HIM to get to YOU?

This Saiful for his low CGPA sure has excellent soft skills in PR to build such close rapport with just ONE meeting... and for his special officer to still remember him after ONE meeting... Saiful must have left a BIG IMPRESSION for him to remember Saiful. After all, he must have met thousands of people since then... as espoused by all the Ministers who "could not remember" Saiful. Impression big enough to enable him to meet you Mr. DPM at your home at night! But the BIG impression is only to your special officer and not to the rest of the ministers..... hmmmm?

I am no PI nor CSI expert. I give up trying to decipher this matter..... you be the judge.
