Anifah Aman is RIGHT

The exercise undertaken by Shafie Apdal to take signatures from East Malaysia's BN MPs as a pledge of their loyalty to BN. HERE.

Anifah is right in calling that exercise degrading and humiliating. But Anifah, Shafie is just another one that is out there to prove that he is worth it....

"He is further degrading us. He is making us out to be a bunch of rascals," Anifah said in response to Shafie's move.

"If he wants us to sign why not collect signatures from all BN MPs. I do not see any reason to sign. I cannot help it if he does not trust himself."

At last I see one MP that thinks that Peninsular BN thinks that only East Malaysia MPs are the only ones that will hop.... Pa La la.. why not ensure that your backyard there are no maturing tadpoles first before you cast a wary eye on your East Malaysian counterparts!? After all, you should be thankful to them that you are still in power today. Even if they want to hop.. what can BN do even after numerous pledges of allegiance and signatures pledging allegiance?

Could we read the latest outburst as the straw that breaks the camel's back?

2008/09 CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

Still sitting comfortably in Old Trafford

Manchester United are drawn in Group E together with Yellow Submarine (Villareal), Celtic and Aalborg. Me think we could not have asked for a better draw. The tricky games here would be against Villareal at Madrigal and it would be reunion for Guiseppe Rossi. Good team this Villareal as one cannot discount players like Robert Pires, Nihat, Capdevilla and Senna. Phew... but then again, we also must not discount the Bravehearts, they can be a handful. A pale shadow of the powerhouse it used to be when it became the first British team to lift the European Cup back then as it was known. Nevertheless has got some great names, Arthur Boruc, Nakamura, Samaras, Venegoor of Hesselink, I would think the difficult match with them would be at Parkhead. Aalborg, the Danish side whom many believe to be there just to make up the numbers may just spring a surprise or two... :)

Now, my concern has always been the luck that Chelsea seem to have. Group A together with Bordeaux, Roma and Cluj. I guess that group seems pretty clear its Chelsea and Roma unless Bordeaux can spring a surprise or two.

Between Liverpool and Arsenal, I would take Liverpool as having the toughest group of all. Group D sees Liverpool, Athletico Madrid, Marseille and PSV. This group is probably too close to call but I think, PSV and Liverpool hold a slight edge.

Arsenal meanwhile in Group G with Kiev, Porto and Fenerbahce. Kiev of late has not been able to show the form that makes them so formidable in the past while one must not discount the team from Turkey and Porto has the knack of making life difficult for many teams. Porto and Arsenal hold a very slim edge.

Group of Death? My vote goes to Group F. Bayern Munich, Lyon, Steaua Bucharest and Fiorentina. How bout yours?

Wahhh... Awaken?

The Star carries this piece of news HERE.

SINGAPORE: Some Barisan Nasional component party leaders' comments about the possibility of their parties leaving Barisan has Umno vice-president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin concerned.

Somebody seem to have woken up!?

“The is a new trend we have not seen in the past and this time around it is being done openly. I am concerned about that,” Muhyiddin told reporters, referring to remarks made by MCA and Gerakan leaders recently.

“Are these remarks brought up because of sheer disappointment? They have to explain,” he said, adding that any random survey would show that there was a mindset shift among the rakyat and not merely in Permatang Pauh.

What he is saying is, "Shit... I did not learn this in school, this is something out of this world!.. so why they behave like that, I cannot really understand... but I think they are disappointed... But then again, they have to tell us why they are disappointed."

Really la... they have not learnt their lesson. Rakyat... we need another buy-election to teach them ABC.

Muhyiddin said Barisan should not underestimate the changes that are taking place.

“We can have a dialogue with the component parties but what else can we do? That is what we should be asking ourselves.

Muhyiddin... poor mofo... if you do not know what to do, you do not deserve to be where you are. Kindly step down and let others who understand the situation take over. It is as simple as that. Whats the point of asking yourselves, when the yourselves are the ones making all the most "intelligent" racist remarks? When the yourselves are so hell bent on taking the sodomy issue to new heights. So please, continue asking yourselves... its the yourselves that you are concerned with and please just keep it to the yourselves... I am sure the yourselves will take you to Horlan.

“Umno also cannot stand alone. There are weaknesses within Umno but weaknesses also exist within the component parties,” he added.

Din, you can also say this, "Its also your problem wut.. why just blame us?" Din, just rewind all the tapes to your previous UMNO Assembly and watch.... gosh... you should be paying me consultancy fees for teaching you.

Mukhriz said one of the major factors that impacted the by-election was the announcement by the country’s top two leaders that there would be a power transfer only in 2010.

“This means business as usual for another two years. For the rakyat, they feel it is too much to swallow,” he said.

Mukh.. tell your dad to make all the relevant and necessary arrangements with Thaksin in London... some advice from him would help your dad a long way.

Good Dog... Good Dog...

Wow... MCA fighting for "Chinese" rights against an UMNO "Malay" racist....

HERE

MCA Youth today slammed Umno division chief Ahmad Ismail for allegedly making racist remarks against the minority community during the recent Permatang Pauh by-election campaign.

MCPX

Ahmad, the Bukit Bendera Umno division head, had allegedly said Chinese were "squatters" in the country, who were both selfish and unjust, at a ceramah on Aug 24 whilst trying to buttress support for BN candidate Arif Shah Omar Shah in the by-election contest against opposition icon Anwar Ibrahim.

MCA... MCA... why would you want to just slam a small fart like UMNO division chief? But then I guess you should be lauded for working hard enough put up a credible sandiwara. But the same can't be said of the BEST dog of all.. MIC... scrap metal licenses and they are pleased as hell.

But, MCA and MIC, you two must understand that in BN, your job is to divide and rule but sad to say that despite 12GE, you have not learnt your lesson.. tsk.. tsk.. tsk..... Good for you guys man... Good for you guys...

How Much Longer?

How much longer should we as tax paying Malaysians swallow the garbage dished out by this bald headed bugger?
Firstly he defended the ban on Malaysia Today... which by now he would realize that MCMC is helpless in stopping people from accessing MT as RPK reacted faster than they can finish writing the word BAN. Similarly with other websites. They should realize that their efforts are foolhardy and that they are wasting precious tax payers money to undertake such actions.

Based on what he said, it would seem that they can take no other legal action against the pepetrator except to stop people from visiting that website.

Home Minister Syed Hamid Albar said today that the prominent news portal Malaysia Today had been banned because it published "libelous, defamatory and slanderous" content.

MCPX
"I think we don't intend to curtail people's freedom and right to give information and debate," Syed Hamid told reporters.

"But when you publish content that is libelous, defamatory and slanderous to other people I think it is only natural we take action," he said.

He defended blocking access to Malaysia Today that has attacked top leaders, saying it had ignored warnings against publishing "slanderous" articles.

"So many warnings and opportunities have been given and it is not heeded, so I am sure they have exercised their authority well under the law."

If banning is not curtailing then what is? If you feel its libelous, defamatory and slanderous, sue him. Why don't you?

Now comes the second boo boo from the same bald headed fler...

DNA BILL

Opposition members led by Anwar walked out when bald head refused to answer to P. Sivarasa's "goodwill request."

Earlier, in his 75-minute winding-up speech, Syed Hamid said he would take note of all the suggestions made by the MPs in their debates, look at the existing provisions, make the necessary amendments and bring them up at the committee level later.

However, as soon as he completed his speech, R. Sivarasa (PKR-Subang) stood up to ask him whether he would agree that a special select committee be set up to review the Bill.

Syed Hamid did not respond despite much persuasion from opposition MPs like Mahfuz Omar (PAS-Pokok Sena), Tian Chua (PKR-Batu), Azmin Ali (PKR-Gombak), Lim Kit Siang (DAP-Ipoh Timur) and Fuziah Salleh (PKR-Kuantan).

The bill was subsequently passed and will go through another round of debate and winding up at committee. The contention here was to table it at a select committee which bald head refused to answer.... why the fear? Fear that your own will oppose to the bill at committee stage?

Where art thou? Frogs?

Anwar promised 2 MPs would cross when he is elected into Parliament. He stepped in today and was sworn in as an MP but no frogs jumped. I felt agitated... I called my friend and asked.. I thought there were frogs ready to jump? How come there is none? But I was placated in a way when she told me... Ada one... latest news is 13 MPs from Peninsular and many from East Malaysia.... Still with disbelief but I think Malaysians would be waiting for the event with bated breath.

With Budget tomorrow, and then 16 more days to go to the elusive date, the question running through my mind is, "Maybe there are no frogs after all?" Wonder how many share the same sentiment?

Road to Putrajaya

Road to Putrajaya

An interesting article. Maybe I need not write anymore than is already written. Taken from Malaysiakini, written by Premesh Chandran. I thought of having it here for my own reference.. :).

Swift Retribution?

In the wake of their drubbing... there were renewed calls for Abdullah to step down. HERE.

No doubt it was Abdullah's administration that suffered this humiliating defeat, but, honestly, shouldn't Najib take a big chunk of the blame? His approach to the campaign by character assasination and trying to manipulate religion actually backfired? I am very sure, if Arif were let to run the whole campaign, he would have gotten more votes than what he got.

Veteran Umno leader Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah called for a new leadership "to unite our people... and forge a clear national direction."

Razaleigh also called on Umno members and BN component parties to stand by Umno in 'our hour of crisis'.

"The people of Malaysia and along with them, Umno's ordinary members, have found their democratic voice," he said, warning that the wave cannot be stopped.

Noble Ku Li, but you missed the point. The problem is UMNO and if UMNO persist in going down the road taken, what is there for other component parties to stand by UMNO? You call for a change in UMNO but if I remembered clearly, you have not stated the direction you would take UMNO.

Mahathir's son Mukhriz, another senior Umno figure, who is vying for the top spot in the party's influential youth wing, also called for Abdullah's immediate resignation.

"I think Abdullah should strongly consider for all our sakes, to step down now," he told AFP.

"This is a second time that the Malaysian people have given a clear message, with the first at the general elections. It is a rejection of the present leader and he must leave now."

Mukhriz, why can't it be the rejection of UMNO itself?

On second thoughts, stay the way and stay your course... it will be easier for Malaysians to decide on their future.

To People of P44 Permatang Pauh

TO THE VOTERS OF P44 PERMATANG PAUH

THANK YOU FOR VOTING WITH THE NATION IN MIND

I SALUTE YOU!

The Day After...

After the euphoria of victory, I am sure it will be the talk of the nation for another couple of days. But reality actually sunk in right after the victory that the nation is still pretty much in the grip of BN when the EC ruled that the post victory press conference cannot be held in the counting hall as was done in the past. To top it off, Anwar's personal bodyguards were too overzealous in protecting their subject. Well, maybe they were paid to do a job and they are trying to keep up with it. HERE.

Excerpts from Malaysiakini.

However, the group of about 100 local and foreign journalists later found themselves in an embarrassing situation when the EC officials asked - and even escorted them - to leave the hall.

PKR media coordinator Ginie Lim's attempts to make arrangement with the EC for a press conference to be held in the hall also failed.

The EC officials insisted that no press conference should be held there although the hall was the only suitable area for the media session to be held at the counting centre.

In the past, such as during the 2004 and 2008 general elections, all such post-victory press conferences were held in counting halls.

Never mind that, UMNO's Information Chief.. yeah.. the one that cannot read English gave his piece here.

He immediately dished out a host of excuses why they lost, amongst which, blah blah blah.. underdogs.. blah blah blah.. choice of candidate was contested.. blah.. blah.. upcoming Assembly... blah blah.. Anwar contested at hometown.. blah.. blah.. while as expected Najib claim the morality of democracy being still alive... duh.. what else is new?

Funnily, the other BN component parties were utterly.... SILENT on the whole matter. It was more of UMNO v PKR or rather Najib v Anwar and Najib lost big time.

BN should know by now that, sodomy does not work.. no amount of swearing by Saiful on any book will work... and if they ever harbour hopes of winning any by-election make sure they do not send in the monkey that wants to bury the opposition. Sure too, they should send in their phantoms earlier and not to send them on UMNO registered busses.

Now for EC to do the right thing and for the Speaker of Dewan to ensure that Anwar gets to be sworn in at the earliest date possible. Any further "delays" is not recommended.

A good reason to celebrate Merdeka? This is it folks!!! Not optimistic... but HOPEFUL.

Supporters v Phantoms!!

News are being updated by various blogs every now and then. Am sure many would be reading People's Parliament, Din Merican, Anil Netto etc for real updates but this is one piece of news I would like to laugh.

Malaysiakini reported that Najib regrets polling day scuffle.

Blaming the opposition, he said: "They brought supporters from outside."

Well.. well Altantunya... PR brings supporters from outside... what did BN bring?

People's Parliament, Anil Netto and Malaysia Today all reported that BN brought in PHANTOM VOTERS!

Malaysiakini has the news HERE.

From People's Parliament

3.55pm : Viveg & Balraj reporting on bas pengundi hantu

Another bus was earlier stopped by the PKR ghosbuster team at Tanah Liat, Penanti, with 40 passengers. the bus has been taken to the Tanah Liat Balai Polis.

Unconfirmed reports also have it that two vans have also been apprehended by the ghostbusters.

From Anil Netto

1617: Hisham Rais reports that alleged hantus (phantoms) have been caught in Mengkuang Titi. What next? Check his blog (Click on Hisham Rais) for more about these mysterious hantus.

From Malaysia-Toady

3.45pm

PKR workers have detained two busloads of phantom voters at Mengkuang Titi. Many police reports about fraud and vote-rigging have been made. Voter turn-out has exceeded 60% but still far short of expectations. UMNO, however, reports a 70% voter turn-out.

26th......

26th is a very nostalgic date for me and my family. It was my late mum's birthdate.. My wife and I got married on 27th Dec... and I was in hospital with her on 26th Dec the following year awaiting my first born that decided to pop out on our wedding anniversary. 26th July is the date my road tax expire.... and today, 26th August is the date Malaysians hope will be the start of a new era, regardless if they are voting in P44 Permatang Pauh.

Looking back, this by-election is not about Arif v Anwar. I would like to think that Arif and Anwar has been real gentlemen in this battle. Both has refrained from personal attacks on each other... but to me its a Najib v Anwar battle all the way.. the amount of shit dunked on each other will make the sewage tank look like clean room. My question here is, will Najib be "screwed" literally if he loses this by election by a bigger majority? Will his hold on UMNO loosen if he "fail to perform" this time round? Is this also Mr. Sleepy Head's tactic of keeping his seat come 2010? Najib will still need to endure many pitfalls till then even if he comes out of this intact. Maybe Sleepy Head is not sleeping after all.... hmmm...

But P44 has the chance to put their sick politics to the backwaters of Malaysian history once and for all. What would happen tomorrow when Anwar takes his oath as an MP in Parliament? hmmmm.....

Well, I join Mob1909. If I do not hang the flag upside down... maybe I can do this...

Who da Man?

Manchester United has scored two goals in their last two matches. One in their 1-1 draw with Magpies at OT and the other in their 1-0 win over Pompeys at Fratton Park.

On both occasions, many would have expected Rooney or Tevez to find the spot. But, it all came from this man.

ALL HAIL FLETCHER!!!!

Long thought to be a fringe player, Darren Fletcher, the midfielder from the land of fine single malt whiskey. I have always thought of him to be a good player but he lacks the built to be a very good midfielder. He has come good this season saving the blushes of Red Devils.

While we await the arrival of Dmitar Berbatov, well, many said that his whining ways may not be wanted at OT, I would like to draw some parallels to what Fergie has done to these flawed genius and turned them into legends at OT. The first name that came to mind.... was none other than Kung-fu extraordinaire...
Who else? The Great Eric Cantona

Berba to be turned into another inspirational player in the mould of King Cantona? Not far from it in terms of temperament.. flawed genius needs the Fergie's touch!

Moreover his predatory instincts will give Man United the edge sorely missed. Tevez and Rooney are real hardworking players but they run too much. Berba may suit the setup. I feel he is a more complete player than Van Nistelrooy in many aspects. He can dribble, he can shoot, he can head, he is deadly in the penalty area, he is well built and he is FAST. Lets hope that he doesnt whine in the famous RED of Manchester United.

I just love this one

This summary is not available. Please click here to view the post.

Day of Reckoning

24 hours to polling. Never mind its just a by-election of Permatang Pauh, but pundits are calling it mother of all by-election! Who can fault them? Its the biggest seen todate. Biggest probably in terms of lies told... money splashed... dirt splashed on the candidates....

While prior to nomination to date, BN has been actively questioning Anwar's credibility in the sodomy issue when they play up the swear by Quran act by Saiful who alleged that Anwar sodomized his butt. The only medical report leaked thus far did not indicate that his butt was severed. Nevermind that, he went ahead to swear by the Holy Book. To many lay man, that is a non-issue. Come on, its between you and God for that matter. But let the truth prevail. Lets have all the facts before an independent and honest court. But NO. BN went on overdrive to hype the whole matter... While it was "fashionable" to make SD (Statutory Declaration) then, Saiful made it a trend in swearing... so much so that Najib also got caught up in the hype that he went the distance to swear that he did not know Altantunya. After all that is done and dusted and hyped like there is no tomorrow, PR pulled out a rabbit from the hat.

The Uztaz, Ramlang Porigi who witnessed the oath came out to say his piece HERE.
Making his debut at the Bandar Perda Mosque and then two ceramahs at Kg Belah Dua and Padang Ibu last night, imam Ramlang Porigi (photo) stunned everyone when he revealed that he "had been instructed" to witness Saiful's swearing show. "My task was only to hear the oath and I had no part in the drafting of the oath which Saiful made. It is also unimportant for me so specify who." "I also wish to deny that I received any money to witness the swearing. I was only acting on instructions," said Ramlang in a hastily arranged press conference by PKR at 12.30am this morning. Also facing the media for the first time after the incident at the Federal Territory Mosque, Ramlang said that Saiful made two mistakes that day. "During the swearing, Saiful mis-pronounced one of the Islamic words because he had it written down in Malay instead of Arabic. Ramlang also revealed a Freudian slip by Saiful. "Saiful also made a mistake on when Anwar Ibrahim had allegedly inserted his penis into his rectum. "Instead of June 26, Saiful said he was sodomised on Aug 26 before correcting himself," said Ramlang at PKR headquarters, Yayasan Aman in Permatang Pauh.

First bombshell would have been taht he was "INSTRUCTED" to witness the Saifool Show which contained the second bombshell or rather Saifool's blooper... He forgot the date that the other penis went into his butt hole. I would note the wrong choice of Arabic word by Saifool was down to the fact that he is "not conversant" in Arab.... small matter really... but the biggest blooper was... Come on! How can you forget the date when your modesty was OUTRAGED!? By a man with a bad back! For goodness sake! I would be so traumatized and mentally scarred.. that the date would be the day I wish I died! How can I forget the date?????

But, trust a dropout to do a professional's job.. thats what you get... eh?

Hence, people of Permatang Pauh, after 10 days of lies, dirt and more lies... its time for you to choose. Choose wisely... choose the MAN who could take the country out of its current situation. Choose a MAN that can make Malaysia great again. Choose the MAN that tells lesser lies. Give him a bigger mandate than that in the past! Give this man YOUR VOTE!

Lets Send Anwar to Parliament

Well, I am sure not many visit this site... :).

But, I would like to join Haris Ibrahim and Barisan Rakyat to call upon Malaysians especially those in Permatang Pauh to send Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to Parliament come 26th August 2008!

Barisan Nasional has engaged the opposition in the most expensive and dirtiest election ever. Claims of physical abuse through to paying hard cash for votes and right down to the complete mainstream media manipulation to ensure Anwar is not elected. BN has in place one mandarin speaking white haired man called Arif. The brother of a man who swindled the government billions in defence contracts. Arif is also THE man who claimed to have had a Diploma from US of A on his website but the he cited that his diploma is from FIT and he so infamously laid claim to studying from a bogus university for his PhD. I have never come across anyone having done PhD without doing a Masters.

Never mind that he speaks Mandarin and Hokkien, we have KJ wanting to "bury" Anwar... we have Najib wanting to humiliate Anwar... we have millions "handed" out in the name of development! Not the least, our PM doing a flip flop in the fuel price just to win another few precious votes in PP! That comes on the heels of him spending 1 hour taking the rail transport system in KL. What else do we need to know of the current government that will help us decide otherwise?

ENOUGH is ENOUGH. ENOUGH of LIES. ENOUGH of INCOMPETENCY. ENOUGH of STUPIDITY. Time for a new chapter in our history. Time for Pakatan Rakyat!

Minyak Turun? Tak!! Turun gak...

Being defiant about petrol price decrease before Permatang Pauh election... when they reiterated (the govt that is) that the price will be reviewed once a month and the reduction will only be made on 1st Sept 2008.

Eat your hearts out guys... our PM flopped again! Petrol price goes down.. a measely 15sen to RM2.55.

How do you then trust a government when they say one thing and go about doing another?

But trust me, if no PP by election.. no petrol reduction so early one... they are desperate to ensure Anwar lose or win with greatly reduced majority.

PhD? BsD?

In their quest to make their resume look respectable, many amongst us pay to get that kind of recognition. Be it diplomas, degrees, Masters degree or even Doctorate. But where you get it is always up for questioning.

Not until various blogs go around hunting for the existence of Edison University of Technology only did this PhD holder wannabe admitted that he was "conned" into going for the PhD of the said University. I am sure as the YB, he would have a better network of people to advise him against taking it from a fly by night institution... no? But, yeah man... he went about telling people of Permatang Pauh that he is indeed studying for a PhD. I am sure money can buy a piece of paper that would not give him Permanent Head Damage. But in return for the one week or so, he would have earned his Doctorate in BullShitting until some bloggers pointed out his fallacy.

Below are excerpts of what he said, (Taken from Malaysiakini)

“The PhD is not recognised, so I have quit. I am finding a paper that is recognised,” he told Malaysiakini when met at the sidelines of his election campaign on Tuesday.

Gee... is it so difficult to find a paper that recognized to enroll in? I am sure if you have the necessary work experience, one would be able to enroll in a Masters Degree from a "respectable" University. Does he really need such an ego booster like a PhD? But the main question is, with only a Diploma.. what is his platform to go for a PhD?

According to Arif, he did his diploma at the Federal Institute of Technology in Kuala Lumpur.

FIT is it? Well, my brother graduated from FIT and he shared with me one joke many years ago when I sent him to college one day. I said, "Wow! So many students?" He replied, "Yeah bro... so many and we should be worried as FIT stands for Future In Trouble." Then again, it was a little joke that most of the students share amongst themselves.

But why is it that when I go to Arif Shah's website he claims the following:

Setelah tamat persekolahan di peringkat menengah YB Arif Shah telah melanjutkan pelajarannya dalam bidang Kejuruteraan Awam dan mengikuti pengajian khas di Graber International, California, USA.

Eh??? Not FIT?

Jokes aside. I really wonder now what Arif is made of. In my days, even a Malay SPM 3rd grader gets into ITM...... what did Arif get for that, so much so that he has to go private in FIT? Or did he make another boo boo Graber International, California, USA?

Anyway, I did a simple google on Graber International... guess what? No such name or institution....

Wither the flag

Malaysia or rather Malaya will celebrate their 51st year of independence come 31st Aug 2008. We have come a long way, but I really wonder if we have moved forward or have we regressed backwards. If my memory serves me right, I have always been excited about waking up early to watch the live telecast on the march past and various cultural shows on TV. Then there is the Rasa Sayang series come every occasion which warrants one.

This year or rather in recent times we have been treated to a spectacle of events that make normal people puke at the mention of it. With all these, many have heeded Sheih (Kickdefella's) call on Aug 3rd to fly the flag upside down. Amongst the prominent bloggers are Zorro and Haris. According to Sheih, "The upside down flag is accepted as official signal of distress. By displaying it properly, it is not meant to be or it is not recognised as any type of disrespect."

I have explained my reasons for not doing so in my previous postings but what I would like to draw upon today as we approach the historic day is this. What does our flag stand for?

According to Ancient and Heraldic traditions much symbolism is associated with colors. The colors on the Malaysian flag represent the following:

  • White - peace and honesty

  • Red - hardiness, bravery, strength & valour

  • Blue - vigilance, truth and loyalty, perseverance & justice. The blue field also symbolizes the unity of the Malaysian people

  • Yellow - the yellow seen on the crescent and star is the color of the royal family

  • The basic style shown in the picture of the Malaysian flag is described as Canton reflecting the central design of the flag pattern, highly influenced by the USA

  • There are 14 equal horizontal stripes of red (top) alternating with white (bottom)

  • All Flag pictures depict flags flying, from the viewer's point of view, from left to right

  • The shape and flag ratio of the Malaysian flag is described as 1:2 ( length twice the height )

  • The upper left quarter of the flag is called the Canton and pictures a blue rectangle in the upper hoist-side corner bearing a yellow crescent and a yellow 14-pointed star

  • The emblem on the Malaysian flag pictures a yellow crescent and a yellow 14-pointed star both being the traditional symbols of Islam

  • The Meaning & History of the Malaysian Flag - The Malaysian 14 stripes stand for the fourteen states of Malaysia. The Malaysian star also has fourteen points, for the same reason

Ponder for a moment... while our PM talks of uncouth act of flying the flag upside down, lets talk about our government acts of desecrating the very symbol what our flag stands for... peace? honesty? Hardiness? Bravery? Strength? Valor? Vigilance? Truth? Loyalty? Perserverance? Justice? Unity? 14 EQUAL stripes?... While all Malaysians are fighting hard to preserve the dignity of what the flag represents, here we have a government that is working overtime to dismantle them.

While our government wantonly desecrates the ideals enshrined in the flag, what right do they have to call upon the acts of a group of fiercely loyal citizens showing their distress by flying the flag upside down? The fact that the government today has forfeited their rights in criticizing others by their own brazen actions.

My actions of not flying the flag does not mean I do not support their actions. To each, their own way of showing their displeasure and I certainly can understand why they want to do it and let us all fight for our beloved country Malaysia in our own ways, coming together when it is required and doing it in our own little ways at other times would be really refreshing.

LETS PRAY FOR A HAPPY 51st MERDEKA MALAYA!
and
LETS CELEBRATE OUR 45ND MALAYSIA DAY ON 16th SEPT 2008

A Slugfest..

Lim Guan Eng vs Koh Tsu Koon.

We would expect a slugfest. A eventful finger pointing. That is exactly what we got.

But the whole event can be summarized as such:

LGE: Koh, your government sucks. Why all the scams? Why you guys did not punish the pepetrators that cost the state millions?
KTK: ACA probe.. nothing wrong. How to take action? Kanasai.. you don't like, you start another inquest la. We have done our job.
LGE: Izit? Now the government got to lose money! Because of your mistakes... and I should now help the state save the money and you monkeys walk free?
KTK: Niabeh.... you should be fighting to reduce the loss my incompetent government has gotten us into and not to point finger at me! And don't you dare call us monkeys...
LGE: What the heck? Your problem and now you conveniently say I should clean it up for you?
KTK: Yalor... you say you so smart so smart... so go ahead.. make my day.
LGE: Wait you... wait... I will nail you guys.. niabeh...

I have only one opinion. Koh's government although looked the most gentleman in handing over to Pakatan, was not so when it comes to removing all the files from their offices and skirting around their responsibilities and laying the onus on the other party to clean up the mess they left behind. My take is, the current Pakatan Government should move forward. Bring in more investments to the state, build the coffers but in the meantime, conduct investigation and bring the responsible to book while at the same time exhaust all legal avenues to reduce the liability of the state which can deprieve them of precious funds to develop the state.

Expect the Police to take heed?

PM sees red over blogger's upside down flag.

So reads Malaysiakini headlines. While reading Kickdefella's blog urging bloggers to fly the flag upside down, I had this deep down that I love my country too much to do it. Even though Sheih says it is not disrespect but to a show of a nation in distress, I truly do not wish to do that as my anger and dissatisfaction lies with the government and not the country nor my fellow countrymen. Hence I did not fly it as suggested by Sheih.

Now our PM sensing some "cracks" decided to prey on it.

He said that the act of doing so is uncouth... Golly... he must have learnt a new word... he just need to look around his BN MPs to seek real definition of uncouth.

And he adds this... "Abdullah, meanwhile, hoped the police would act on the matter."

Anyone care to speculate what would happen next? Forget the fact that the IGP is recuperating from his heart surgery in hospital. The good dog attitude will prevail. A bunch of police will probably arrest Sheih and hold him in custody for a few days just like they do PenarikBeca? Eh?

Efficiency is my middle name...

Since our PM said that the ACA will independent... they are showing their "efficiency"

I really wonder if the efficiency is BN driven? HERE

What I do not understand here is, while there are a litany of reports and grouses in the past, there seem to be no action taken or the investigation completed and cases closed.. but of late.... they seem to be really efficient. From the wayang of investigation into the DG of Immigration to the current investigation into a few corruption cases involving Pakatan Government in Perak.

While it is a known fact that Pakatan is running Perak on a razor thin majority, it is only logical for BN to seek to reclaim the state. Arguably the most fragile of state government is Perak. Or could this be one of the steps undertaken to undermine PKR's Permatang Pauh's by election? Are we going to see more mud slinging in PP that the PR's government is corrupt? Left to be seen but I do smell a rat when they were so swift in handling the DG's case, I figure they would be swooping down on either Perak, Selangor or Penang and indeed they have.

While ACA seems to be swooping down left right centre and back... our IGP has gone in for a "routine" heart by-pass. Maybe its to strengthen his heart so that he could soldier on faithfully for his masters.

Najib's EXPLOSIVE joke...

HERE

Excerpts from it that I think I can die laughing. Headlined Najib wants Indians, Chinese to back BN.

And he had one more word of counsel - do not gamble with your children's future by supporting the opposition candidate who had been making false promises.

50 years of false promises my dear Najib.... who has been making false promises? Coming from a man who wanted to bathe his keris in Chinese blood.... and yet to apologize for that... who's the liar?

"Do not be easily hoodwinked by the opposition promises and fall for their trickery because if we were to believe them, we will be quarrelling with each other," he told members of these two communities in Permatang Pauh yesterday.

Hmmmm... UMNO not quarelling with each other? Gerakan and SUPP are not in sync with BN? MCA and MIC not fighting internally? Come again? Who is quarelling?

He promised that the BN would champion the Indian and Chinese communities' cause in the constituency as they had been neglected by the opposition.

Aiyo... even UiTM issue make your boss froth in the mouth, you promised you would champion for us? We (Chinese and Indians) do not need the 10% in UiTM.. seriously, just the local varsities make it fully 100% on MERIT. When I say on merit, it does not mean that the 6th formers and Matriculation students to be judged as equals.. they are not. Matriculation students have it really easy while 6th form was hell.

He also said that the government was doing much to increase the educational opportunities of the Indian community.
And specifically for the Indian voters in Permatang Pauh - numbering some 3,500 voters - Najib said the government has agreed to approve scrap metal collector's licence for them.

Well, I chose to comment the two statements together... This is what I said in my Case of Deal Gone Bad 1. Excerpts of it:

Ong and Samy: Now what do you want? We already sell our backside for you liao.. summore what you want?
Abdullah: Cool la.. brader... I just have this 218million bill I need you all to help me settle. You people benefit also wut? 2004 election, you see itu semua bunting, poster kilat kilat punya.. I got this friend of mine, Hasan to do it all for us. Now we need to pay him....
Ong: Lah, 1mil 2 mil, I can still ask my brothas to help out.. now you wan 218million... already 2008 we kena hammer all round... you think I still have crony willing to cough out so much? Lah, your side there all crony gemuk gemuk.. ask them to pay la...
Samy: ya la.. ask them la.. after all see all my Hindraf brader all, you send to jail, my kutu all lose the election kau kau... you still want me to pay? My kutu all the best one also besi buruk and budget barber shop..." Your kutu meanwhile over the last 4 years all gemuk already... 30%.. 30%... we all what else have we got?

My thought was, are we stereotyping the Indians? Scrap metal collector?

PP and Pek Moh...

Much has been said about Arif Shah. From being the Malay Champion (demonstration against the NEP statement made by Lim Guan Eng) to the so called Chinese sensitive advocate who can speak fluent Mandarin and Hokkien... and whom.. well.. according to the news, he was FONDLY known as Pek Moh...waaaah.. how endearing...

From being a brother of Amin Shah (who was involved in a RM24billion defence fiasco) to being a man in his own right as the DUN for Seberang Jaya... and by the way his service centre is the only one that is ISO certified.

My reaction was... walaueh.... BN still playing racial card. So being a Malay champion and Chinese sensitive... now where does it leave the Indians and Dan Lain Lain?

Why can't BN understand that the only way for the country to meet the challenge of globalization is to go forth as one race and not as fragmented as we are at the moment. Why can't they understand the simple truth that we are losing our brains to other countries which we should have retained to help develop the country? Why can't BN understand that the people today are more refined and that they would like to have transparency and accountability in the government?

But below.. this pic speaks volumes on who is playing up the liwat issue:

I SWEAR!!!

By the moon and the stars in the sky..... Oooooohhh....

What the heck? If by swearing by the Quran makes you all righteous then whats the use of the courts? The fool is at it again... playing the minds of the gullible Muslims that would think that swearing by the holy book makes him - CLEAN. Is it? Does it? Maybe clean la... as long as he washes his arse after doing you know what...

Then, you have our DPM, so fervently espousing that the sodomy charge is a private matter. (p3 The Sun 18th Aug 2008) which reported that Najib said that Anwar was exploiting the sodomy charge in the by-election and that they (BN) are not exploiting the sodomy case as it is a private matter. (PUKE!) Is it?

Lets see.... Azizah declared she is stepping down... 5 minutes later Botak announced that the investigation into the sodomy is completed.... One day before the nomination, you had your Saifool swearing by the Quran... then on the day of nomination, wasn't it the BN camp that shouted LI-WAT.. LI-WAT? So, Najib... tell me.. who is exploiting the sodomy issue? Please do not hoodwink the people... Anwar was just trying to defend himself.. you and your goons were the ones bringing up the issue! So stop the CRAP! Can they? After all the lies? Only one way to stop all that.. LETS PUT BN OUT OF THEIR MISERY FOR GOOD!

VOTE PAKATAN RAKYAT!!

What an Olympics!

Beijing 2008... what drama and what history beckons this edition of the Olympiad!

Mark Spitz saw his 7 gold medal haul in a single games broken by this man...

Michael Phelps

I do not think any man or woman may come close to what he has achieved in the pool... Although I had my doubts that he can beat Spitz's record... well, he can thank his buddy

Jason Lezak for helping him to realize his dreams when Lezak blazed the lane with a blistering anchor in the 4x100m freestyle to touch ahead of France's Alain Bernard... Lezak swam the 100m of his life to help his teammate realize his dreams of becoming the greatest ever... well so far. Then again, probably the 100m butterfly was the key to his greatness. His 7th gold to equal Spitz and winning it within a hair breath ahead of Cavic, was also the other potential pitfall in his quest but he got through it with flying colours. Besides that I think he would have endeared himself into the history of swimming by virtue of the number of gold medals won in the Olympics regardless of whether he equalled or beat Mark Spitz's record, but... beating the likes of Spitz and Paavo Nurmi, Phelps has created a new chapter.. a big chapter, 12 gold medals.

Besides the Phelps chapter, we have also witnessed for the first time a man running 100m below 9.7sec. I really wonder what time would Bolt set if he had not showboated in the last 10m or so of the race? A great runner fluid in his buildup and under 22 years of age... one would only wonder if he can get better? 9.69sec.. and leaving his contenders an embarassing distance is definitely a sight to behold. A worthy champion but I was hoping that he would be more modest in his celebrations than his arrogance. Well, maybe he has the right to be arrogant.. after all he earned the nickname of the fastest man on earth.

A Day of Commotion...

While I was busy earning my keep, some jokers were so busy making news that makes mockery of the whole system. First we have the Fool, that swore by the Quran that he was "forcibly" sodomized... then to a hoard of questions he said he will answer them in court.

Firstly, he was sodomized against his consent?

O'rly??? Then why is Anwar charged with voluntarily committing carnal sex? Did the Police then serve a boo boo? Or you were "too weak" to "resist"?

Secondly, I really wonder why all the charade was timed to perfection? Anwar charged the day after he announced he will contest in Permatang Pauh by election. Now, the "swear by Quran" thinggy done on the day of nomination. I would like to speculate that despite the PM's piece on no adjustment on fuel price until 1st Sept will be flopped on 25th August 2008? Just to win some votes?

Eh? More to come? You BET!

Case of Deal gone BAD 3

Concluding the season 1 of case gone bad.. the who's who in the administrative world must have had it real bad lately and as the story unfolds we pick the story up at the Sleepy Mansion where a group of people namely, Abdullah, Jib, Ong and Samy talked passionately about a group of loonie lawyers that caused an uproar over some matters related to religion...

Jib: Lah, I heard kan.. these bunch of loyar buat kacau la...
Lah: zzzzzzZZZZzZzzzZZZzz.... huh?? Jib? You were saying? (propping himself up)
Jib: I said, Lah, I heard kan.. these bunch of loyar buat kacau la...
Lah: yes... yes.. I pun dengaq the same thing... what do you think Jib?
Jib: I think kan... we disallow them to discuss all these sensitive issue...
Lah: Sensitive? Why sensitive?
Jib: Laa.. you ni... do you know.. our power base in BN for the last 50 years is because kan.. we play the divide and rule game!
Lah: Jib, can you be more layman tak.. I tak pernah main c & c punya game la... apa benda ni divide and rule?
Jib: (mumbles)... bodoh biul betui otak udang nih... wonder how he became leader...
Lah: Yes Jib?
Jib: Ohhh.. nothing nothing.. BN ni.. since 50 years or so ago, we split these people... we use issues about Bumiputra, Ketuanan Melayu and religion to keep the people from being united... sebab tu we have MCA, MIC... sekutu kita orang... we take care of each other's HAK. When even recently... when itu rakyat voted tak kira skin color we still win.. not big la. but still win... because apa ni.. isu Islam.
Lah: Ohh.. I get you... smart la you Jib...
Jib: So, these people now they just want to discuss about the law that we set.. ada kelemahan la... jadi tak kan kita nak tunjuk kita bodoh kan? So, I tell these sekutu kita di GPMS to raise a ruckus la kat itu forum. So, with a few opposition MPs in the demo, kita boleh tolong MCA dan MIC to be relevant again....
Ong & Samy: Ahh??? MCA??? MIC?? What?? What???
Jib: Relax la brader... we make you relevant again... you can now go out and criticize the people that demonstrated... semua ultra sensitive punya orang... then Lah... you cakap la... isu sensitip jangan disebut-sebut...
Lah: Jib? You pulak apa you cakap?
Jib: I diam sajer la.. I sudah bagi idea.. you orang carry out to the T.
Ong: Waaa.. good idea... I fight for Chinese. Samy fight for Indian...

Meanwhile Samy was fidgeting with his pda....

Samy: @$^&#*@@#... this Sara now take credit pulak... about the Panglima punya sekolah... I also want to say something.... Sack sama itu cikgu... racist.. kita Rakyat Malaysia.. satu bangsa jugak! Lagi transfer dia pigi itu smart school... itu dia cakap punya barang semua ada smart ka???
Jib: Eh... Samy.. you ikut sama itu roket ka? Satu bangsa? You sudah biul ka? We do all the same apa... you kena complain.. we promote you la... by transfer.. standard operating procedure.
Jib: Of course... then we maintain status quo la....
Lah: I talk.. I kena hentam.. Ong hentam saya... Samy hentam saya.... Jib not fair la...
Jib: Like this la Lah... you come up with a better idea then if all accept.. I kena hentam.. until then, you kena hentam.. set? In the meantime.. Lah, itu MB tu cakap 10% Universiti punya tempat diberi kepada apa nama.. non-bumi.. you veto saja dia punya cadangan... heboh kuat kuat sibedebah tu... nak cabar HAK Kita pulak...
Lah: Apa pulak veto? Lid to bukan geng kita.. dia cakap apasai pulak kita nak ikut?? Dia buat recommendation only.. tak pulak dia cakap itu polisi nak rombak... mana dia ada power nak rombak?
Jib: You biul la.. just politicize his statement, dia nak lawan kita.. kita lawan balik... call those rempits we put in the Unis.. get them all to demonstrate.
Lah: Mat Minah semua skarang dah masuk Uni ke??? I tak tau pun?
Jib: Got la.. you ask your Airi... he mobilize some 5000 mat and minah cemerlang into these places last year they can do the bidding for us... geddit?
Lah: Yes..yes.. I paham oredi..

Gosh... Its all about RACE

Aint it? Firstly while the Mainstream Media play out the call by Tan Sri Abdul Khalid made a "suggestion" that UiTM open their doors to non-Malays. The reaction was almost text book. Demonstrations by thousands of UiTM students took place and while we all know that Khalid is powerless in determining the intake, they play it up like a huge forest fire. Who is Abdul Khalid? He is only the Menteri Besar of Selangor! Oi! He cannot make any decision at all. He was merely making a statement of this nature and the whole UiTM froth in the mouth.. and if that is not enough, our PM who is purportedly the PM for ALL MALAYSIANS seem to be just the PM of Malays when he veto-ed the call. Let me tell you one thing Abdullah, "You do not need to veto something that was not proposed and accepted by authorized personnel. Khalid isn't even authorized to propose.. so what is there to veto?"

Seriously, Abdul Khalid's "suggestions" is meant to improve the quality and perception of UiTM graduates and if there is anything to come out of it, it will spur the 90% to do better, but, sadly, even the vice chancellor of UiTM decided to politicize the entire episode.

I hope if and when Pakatan takes over the country, they pay close attention to the whole education system. It has been raped, plundered and sodomized by the government for 50 years and only an overhaul of the entire institution and free education from the shackles of politics... maybe only then we can have a system that develops and breeds critical minds that is required to take the nation through this century.

Case of Deal gone BAD 2

While Ong, Samy, Azim and Abdullah were busy scheming their way out of the RM218million headache, Hisham was in a more serious discussion with Ah Wee regarding a case whereby a loonie case teacher started calling her students all sort of names. But what caused Hisham and Ah Wee to be surprised was that this teacher seem to be picking on only those darker skinned students.

Hisham: Ish... teruk betul nih. Ah Wee... you know la... after the ... you know..
Ah Wee: Ohh.. itu keris incident ka Sham?
Hisham: Ya la.. tu.. please do not remind me of that... I have been you know... trying hard to keep low profile until itu ARMNO Assembly... Now kan... itu orang semua cakap cakap... I kasi mereka tu chance la.. borak borak.. sementara I plan camner tactic I nak naik VP. I diam long enough for people all to forget that I ni bodoh biul. Tapi so far so good la.. until this otak udang teacher from apa nama... Garang punya Panglima.. pa tu Ah Wee?
Ah Wee: Ya la.. itu punya skolah... So camner Sham? You nak settle ke?
Hisham: I nak settle... but kalau I pecat SACK sama itu cikgu, saya punya ARMNO dream susah sikit.. itu cikgu ada "power". Sakit kepala la... eh.. you doktor kan? you selesai la...
Ah Wee: Sham.. ini macam la okay.. kita punya kutu, Sara boleh tolong ka? Kita buat semua WIN WIN WIN Sham. You don't need to worry...
Hisham: I tak salah la.. rekomen you jadi I punya penolong.. you punya otak banyak geliga.
Ah Wee: Ok.. ok.. you dengar dulu ah.. Kita TRANSFER itu cikgu ke sekolah lain. See, the teacher won't jeapordize you punya ARMNO position.. right? Now, rakyat semua ada marah pasal itu tarak otak punya cikgu hanya kena transfer... You skarang call sama itu Sara.. cakap sama dia, dia boleh jadi HERO. Dia boleh komen kau kau pasal itu transfer. Kita kasi dia maximum media coverage. After that, I cakap dia tu kena transfer until kita selesai kita punya investigation... tak kisahlah 2 minggu ka 2 tahun ka.. janji transfer saja..
Hisham: Itu macam... saya mati wor? Sara hentam saya... rakyat hentam saya...
Ah Wee: Sham... you bukan sudah biasa kena hentam ka? you punya objective is to win ARMNO rite?
Hisham: Betui jugak cakap you eh Ah Wee?
Ah Wee: Now you call itu Sara.

Hisham immediately calls Sara, his good pal to seek his "assistance".

Hisham: Hallo? Sara?
Sara: Yes.. yes... Sara speaking. Whom am I speaking to please?
Hisham: Podah la Sara... jangan you perasan you Mat Saleh oit!
Sara: Aisay... Sham.. cakap saja ma.. I ingat itu Mat Saleh itu hari call sama I... Sham.. what can I do?
(Hisham relates the whole story to Sara and ...)
Sara: Sham.. you are a genius.. of course I will complain.. in that way I boleh jugak Champion itu orang susah susah ah?
Hisham: of course la.. Sara.. Ah Wee punya idea good eh?
Sara: Then Ah Wee itu apa cakap?
Hisham: Ah Wee cakap, he will say "Pending Investigation lah" You know I know.. investigation 3-4 bulan.. semua orang pun lupa la.... Jadi, Sara.. set ok? Now you owe me one marble...

Hisham puts the phone down.. satisfied that he has created another smokescreen and with some great ideas from his sidekick, the whole matter now will only dominate attention for a week and it will be forgotten soon after as people would be more focussed on whatever that is about to happen at Permatang Pauh.

Meanwhile back at Sleepy Mansion... Abdullah, Jib, Zim, Ong and Samy are having another crisis on their hands when a bunch of loonie lawyers decide to call for a forum to discuss on cut and uncut issues which has ruffled many feathers. At present, our secret agent reporter has not come back with the transcript of the meeting yet! But do not fear... we will "expose" it once we have it in our hands!

Case of Deal gone BAD....

Back in 2004, 3 friends, Abdullah, Samy and Ong wanted to create history by routing their opposition in the forthcoming general elections. They schemed on the best methods to come about how to make it happen. How to drub their opponents. Its a matter of strategy... it has to be decisive, it has to be awesome, it has to be elegant.

So, while Samy and Ong talked about strategies, this Abdullah went about asking his moneyman, Azim to procure awesome numbers of buntings, posters, boards, t-shirts and mineral water. He told Azim, "Zim, you go and see all those people we give itu semua title... cakap we need them to bagi donation. Donation tu, we use for all these "I Love UMNO" stuff." These are all meant to be given out to impress the voters that, "We, the government are with you." Then SC came a calling and asked, "Err... Abdullah, each Parliamentary constituency... we allow RM100,000 expenditure only you know?" To this Abdullah replied, "Of course... these are all... donation belaka. People sayang us as the government, they donated all these buntings.. these crates of mineral water... summore they love me so much, they put my face on the t-shirts."

The SC happy with the explanation, went about their "chores" and declared Abdullah the biggest victor in the 2004 elections... Then, the supplier seeing that the people they support has won big came a calling for the "debt". Hasan then asked Abdullah, "Lah... where la itu payment... 218juta woh! Itu semua supplier hambat sama I... you know lah.. we all crony business, I buat margin only... that oso my cost you know... 150juta. You pay me 180juta also I can survive, now satu sen pun you tak bayar... mati la I."

Abdullah then summoned Azim, "Zim... mana tu duit tuk Hasan?" Zim regretfully replied, "Lah, tu Hasan too much la.. he charge kita 150% punya profit. Tu duit I kutip dulu tu semua guna untuk billboard. The big big one... so, I guna habih... sudah pokai.. cam na I wan to pay this Hasan?"

Abdullah in a quandry, thought hard for a few moments, then he said, "Zim! I know. Since, itu Ong sama Samy benefit sama ini barang semua, kita suruh dia orang bayaq la. After all, we are a family, right?" Azim thought for a while.... then said, "Boss, good idea boss... kita guna mereka bayar... I like your idea." So then Abdullah told Hasan, "San, I tell you this, I will collect the money from Ong and Samy, then we pay you."

In a meeting between Abdullah, Ong and Samy...

Abdullah: Remember or not? We were family kan?

Abdullah went back disappointed... as he sat down for coffee with Azim...

Abdullah: Zim.. big trouble la ni... they all cannot pay...
Zim: Cant be helped Lah... we fight until they pay 200mil.. meanwhile we go to court and tell them Hasan's charge defective. They cannot just sue us... its all in the family...
Abdullah: But you jokers go and sign the DO.. delivered to us... apa macam?
Zim: We still got Zaki wut... why worry?
Abdullah: Hmmmmm......

(to be continued)
Note: All characters are fictitious in nature, any resemblance to real life characters are however accidental in nature.

Penal Code 377B

Section 377B of Penal Code states, "Whoever voluntarily commits carnal intercourse against the order of nature shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to twenty years, and shall also be liable to whipping."

Been thinking about it the whole weekend.... should I come clean or should I not. Then I thought if I do come clean, I hope the remaining millions of Malaysians should to. I asked my lawyer friend on this matter and he said "We are all guilty of Penal Code 377B." He further explained, "You dare tell me you have never had a blow job?" I nodded... "You dare tell me you have never gone down...." Knowing what he meant, I nodded....

Well, the above story is a fantasy, written to justify the article above. Please do not lock me up and measure my privies.... I.... I.... I didn't know there was such a law that prevents me from having sexual pleasures with my better half! You mean that the government prevented us from doing all that? Why??? Why??? I do not wish to be jailed nor whipped!!! I did not do it!!! Nooooo!!!!!

Let me narrate a story to you guys. Last night a man told his wife, "We could be jailed and whipped you know...... even though its consensual.. in fact its worse! Both kena..if we do it." Wife replied, "Fuck the government... I want to have FUN!" Any lawyers out there can "advice" me if the "fictitious" characters above have contravened Penal code 377B?

Going for GLORY

Malaysia will take on Italy shortly before noon today in the Men's team Archery event for a place in the semi-finals. Finishing 3rd in the opening day's qualifying rounds ensured that they received a bye and a spot in the Quarter-Finals. The team comprising Marbawi Mohd, Cheng Chun Siang and Wan Khalmizam will make history should they beat Italy for a place in the semi-finals which guarantees them of at least a bronze.

UPDATES: Malaysia lost 213-218... what a yawn...

Our swimmers have all disappointed us but we could still see our archers coming good this time round. We still have our badminton players as well as our cyclist to bank on for medals and I sure hope they win a couple of medals in the 29th Olympiad of the modern era!

The event that will probably intrigue many would be the 4x100m (Freestyle) where Phelps would be gunning for his second gold medal (And he WON HIS SECOND GOLD). Being Team A, they would fancy their chance of another world record after their Team B splashed to a world record yesterday evening in the heats (And they got THEIR WORLD RECORD). Phelps is a great swimmer but I think he will fall short of the 8 golds needed to beat Mark Spitz record of 7 gold medals.... just a gut feel looking at the field of competitors... his 200m Freestyle seemed to be in jeapordy after only manage to finish 3rd in his Semifinals early this morning.

Sack Zulkifli Nordin

Just because you represent PEMBELA does not give you the right to say, today I am donning a different hat. You, Zulkifli is an MP for Kulim-Bandar Bahru. There are Malaysians in your constituency and yet, you decided to behave like a rabid ass in calling for people to storm the venue where a civil forum is taking place. On top of that, you represent PKR whose very ideals are equality and yet here you are mouthing words that are synonymous to radicals.

I however take my hats off to IIUM Law Lecturer, Dr Mehrun Siraj who said, "Open discussion is the way to discuss the issues between Muslims and non-Muslims. Don't insult Islam."

Here is a lady who believes her religion. Here is a lady who understands her religion so well that she is not worried that she will waver in a discussion with people of other faiths. Here is a lady who believes that she can educate others on the religion she loves, ISLAM.

I also think that the police were far too "lenient" on the protesting group. How can they not arrest them for carrying seditious placards? How come tear gas were not sprayed on these flers? Why is it then that those in a civil forum need to kow-tow and give in to these rowdy buggers? And don't even get me started on the self proclaimed UMNO representative that stormed into the building and called on the Chinese and Indians to go to HELL. To be fair, we have yet to ascertain if he is truly an UMNO member. These are the people that deserves to go to Kamunting.

While I call upon Anwar and PKR will SACK Zulkifli from PKR, although he claimed to be doing it under the banner of PEMBELA, he cannot hide the fact that he is also an elected representative of Malaysians and as an elected representative he has an obligation to his constituents. He should be in Kulim attending to his constituents than to act like a rabid cow in an illegal assembly trying to intimidate those who are in a lawful and civil forum. Tian Chua and Loh, stop apologizing for him... He has to be responsible for his own words and action. Calling for people to "storm the building" is sounding very much like a TERRORIST!

"Back Door" Government?

Chandra Muzaffar. He came in for a lot of flak before GE12 when he spoke out against Anwar and he has come in for another round when he slammed Anwar for trying the "back door" route to Putrajaya. HERE.

Funny he should use the term "back door"

Funny too why he was mute when UMNO held "secret talks" with PAS.

Regardless of what door la.. front door, back door car door, van door or doggie door... can go in good enough wut? Abdullah has given up his right to criticize the way Anwar decides to take power when he admitted to holding talks with PAS to form State Government in Selangor and Perak and also indirectly an offer to PAS to run the country with 2/3 majority and now since he cannot comment on it, he called upon his trustworthy dog to talk... err bark.

Have a good weekend everyone... at least we enter the weekend with the Olympics to look forward to and not the mindless rantings and antics of our politicians.

Lets talk Olympics

Enough of sodomy... enough of the corruption.. enough of the corrupted.. Lets put politics aside as we await 8:08PM on 8th Aug 2008. We live in interesting times my friends. Before Beijing 2008, we will have to go back 20 years to Seoul 1988 for the last time the Olympics came to this part of the world. Back in 1988, the world witnessed the good, the bad and the ugly. We witnessed legends bid farewell to the games, champions disgraced and new flamboyant champions.

Greg Louganis, the world's greatest diver went on to defend his title despite hitting his head on the board while executing one of his dives in the preliminary round. Carl Lewis, the icon of sprint in the 80s equalled Jesse Owens 4 gold haul... well, he lost the 100m to Canadian Ben Johnson, but the latter was disqualified after tested positive for banned substances. Then came the most colorful (fingernails) and elegant Florence Griffith Joyner Kersee (Flo-Jo as she is affectionately known) won the 100m and 200m. At the pool, 20 years ago, Matt Biondi tried to eclipse the haul by Mark Spitz of 7 golds but failed with only 4 golds. 20 years on at Beijing, Michael Phelps will want to have a go at unseating the legend. East German, Kirstin Otto reigned supreme with 5 golds in the pool.

2008 will yield its own history starting tonight. From Michael Phelps to Usain Bolt, from Lin Dan to Roger Federer, from Ronaldinho to Yao Ming... much of history will be made in 2008. But to true sportsmanship, its not the winning that counts, its the participation.

Somehow I find the most memorable quotes to come was this, 1968 Marathon runner from Tanzania, John Stephen Akwari when he said, "My country did not send me 7,000 miles to start the race. They sent me 7,000 miles to finish it." He finished last. Long after all the runners had completed the race and fans who were about to leave the stadium. He crossed the finish line with a heavily bandaged leg due to a fall during the race which caused his leg to be badly cut and with a dislocated bone.

That probably summarizes what the Olympics spirit is all about.

Ronaldo Remains a Devil

At least for another season. HERE.

I am not sure how I will receive or react when he pulled the famous red of Manchester this coming season on the back of his insistence of going to Real Madrid. But one thing is for sure, he will be missing from the lineup for the first 2 months of the season after undergoing an ankle surgery earlier on.

Maybe other Red Devils fans may be more forgiving but I guess, we should at least respect and support the team regardless of history as long as he is still wearing the club's jersey he should have our undivided support. Maybe its easier said than done.....

On a side note, the Olympics is about to begin and I think Malaysia has the best chance yet to win their first gold medal at the Olympics this year. Lee Chong Wei. He has the skills and the mental strength to go the distance. But with a top notch field, every game from Round 1 onwards is a final. Chong Wei represents Malaysia's best hope yet and he is sure to get my support. His path to a final destiny with Lin Dan starts with an encounter against Ronald Susilo of Singapore... long rocky route... Will write more on Olympics and the key battles that I would be watching.. :).

Syabas Pakatan Selangor!

FREE BUS SERVICE FOR SENIOR CITIZENS!

For 50 years... 50 years when BN is in power, they have done nothing to acknowledge the sacrifices and contributions of the senior citizen towards nation building. For 50 years they plundered the people while their cronies lived in huge mansions and palaces without having to pay assessment and quit rent. For 50 years they have done nothing to help the senior citizen to cope with escalating cost of living.

Today, less than 200 days after Pakatan swept into Selangor, less than 200 days after the historic 12th General Election, there is a silver lining in the grey clouds above which I hope the first rays of light will break the gloom that has enveloped the nation for 50 years. I do not expect the new government to work a miracle but all I expect is to see progress towards a more harmonious country.

The assistance to senior citizens in Selangor is to give a little relief to families and pensioners especially at our rising cost of living.

MBPJ has started a free bus service for senior citizens at particular routes.
Also, Dr Xavier Jayakumar (Exco for Caring Society) would welcome any further suggestions to improve the quality of life of senior citizens. You may forward your suggestions to his office at 5th Floor, Bangunan SSAAS, 40000 Shah Alam.

As for grants for the Senior Citizen Club - one can make an application to the ADUN as well as MBPJ. I believe the max grant for clubs and persatuan in an ADUN's area is up to RM2500.

A step in the right direction and one of the best news that I have read today besides news that gives one a sore butt.

Anwar Charged...

Anwar was charged with having committed sodomy on Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan under section 377B of the Penal Code on June 26 between 3.01pm and 4.30pm at Unit 11-5-1 Desa Damansara Condo in Bukit Damansara, Kuala Lumpur.

Source: Malaysiakini

Secion 377B of Penal Code states, "Whoever voluntarily commits carnal intercourse against the order of nature shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to twenty years, and shall also be liable to whipping."

Anwar was right in asking... why don't they charge Saiful as well? Did they not find it "consensual"? Did they then consider Anwar raped him and bruise his butt?

More news on Anwar's case today.. HERE, HERE and HERE.

Just a diversion.... what constitutes carnal intercourse against the order of nature?

Another SD?

Well, luckily its not STD... but the epidemic of coming up with an SD is fast becoming a fad here in Malaysia. The latest one takes another twist in the Anwar sodomy saga.

A very concise writeup by Michelle (HERE) can be found here together with a copy of the SD which first appeared in Din Merican's blog (HERE). RPK's bit is (HERE). Zorro has already prophesy that the country will branded a PARIAH State by world community (HERE) ahead of the court case at Jalan Duta this morning where Anwar Ibrahim is due to be charged. And the DROPOUT is thankful that Anwar will be charged... after all the traffic crawl he had caused us to sit in..

If Anwar is charged today and denied bail, I am sure the nation would be further enraged. Why can an alleged murderer who blew someone up walks free while an alleged sodomizer be sent to jail? If Anwar is allowed bail then I guess things will not be so bad and it will cast the government in the fairer light? Would it? I would think so. So, I would suppose that upon charge, Anwar will at long last get to see a copy of the police report made by Saiful?

In a damning press statement by Anwar yesterday ahead of his charge today, he alleged that Abdullah and the police are hell bent on having him sent to jail for sodomy while there are columns of people in the AG chambers who are dead set against it. Will the truth come out? As Malaysians I sure pray it will, for the good of the country.

UPDATES

Anwar pleaded not guilty and no bail was required nor was he asked to surrender his passport. Judge Komathy allowed Anwar to be released on a RM20k personal bond as opposed to the prosecution's request that a RM20k bail and impounding Anwar's passport.

Well, aint that bad isnt it? Do we need to endure all the roadblocks?

%@#*!&@! Road Blocks!

Just because one fucking dropout alleged that his butt has been ravaged but yet unproven, 4 million Malaysians living in Kuala Lumpur has to endure traffic crawls in the morning because of him!

I wonder how much that would have cost the nation that is obsessed in sending one "sodomizer" to jail. And I do wonder if the charge cannot be proven, will they (the dropout and the current government) reimburse the people that has been inconvenienced by their most inconsiderate behaviour?

I have meetings postponed today! I have my staff coming in late today! I am PISSED!!

HOW MUCH HAVE BEEN SAVED?

We have to wait till end of the month to see if pump prices will be reduced... of course it will be... with crude oil dropping significantly yesterday to settle at below USD119/barrel and more importantly the Permatang Pauh by-election looming!

I am sure the government must be saving even on the 30sen/liter subsidy with today's price. Sadly we Malaysians are still paying RM2.70/liter! RM2.70 was set when crude was about USD135/barrel if I am not mistaken. Sure it went up to USD147/barrel albeit briefly but it tumbled soon after.

Yeah, met up a friend yesterday and he was moaning about the fuel price. I am sure many Malaysians who consume more than 80 liters per month would do the same. So we moan together over a cup of teh tarik... gosh.. we cant even afford a decent jug of beer! Well another feather in the cap of our ever changing lifestyles.

In all these hardships that we endure, I would like to call upon the government to reveal to us, Malaysians, how much subsidies have been saved for the past 2 months since the price of crude tumbled? Mr. PM Sir, instead of just keeping quiet and promising price reductions, tell us, as we Malaysians would want to know MORE.

HOW MUCH HAVE BEEN SAVED FROM THE 30sen SUBSIDY PER LITER SINCE THE PRICE INCREASE?

500mil? 1bil?

By the way, what are the projects for the rakyat that has been planned or underway arising from the "savings" in subsidies? Personally I have yet to see and hear of any. Can anyone clarify if any has taken place?

Why BN Must Contest Permatang Pauh

BN as the ruling party cannot afford to not contest Permatang Pauh, although the result of it is already a foregone conclusion. Well, to some doubters, they believe that many undeads will walk the lorong lorong of Permatang Pauh come polling day. But aside from the so called "Phantom" voters, many are already writing off Barisan's chances of wresting the seat from PKR. Even in PKR's darkest hour in 2004, they manage to retain the seat with a paper thin majority, what else now that with UMNO in disarray and losing their state machinery which is now held by Pakatan.

Barisan can only hope to gain a moral boosting victory. Deny Anwar a bigger majority than the last General Election where Kak Wan Azizah won by over 13,000 votes. Well with news that a vote there now cost RM1000/= they may just be able to buy some votes over. But deep down, Barisan needed this by-election to boost the coffers of the UMNO division there ahead of the general assembly as someone needs to get the precious nominations.... My son's BM tuition teacher as well as my hometown buddy told me that every returning voter from out of town can "claim" transport cost back from UMNO... so those "unclaimed" would conveniently go into the pockets of those "in charge" of the money. So he told me that it would be stupid not to claim it as someone else would benefit from it. But then again, I have no proof to substantiate all these.. so its all hearsay for now.

Barisan must contest Permatang Pauh as this is the last remaining hope for them to prove to the nation that Anwar isnt that popular after all especially if they can deny him a bigger majority. They will certainly set out to achieve just that. Whoever they field is irrelevant as he/ the candidate will just be one sorry arse that will be sacrificed for Barisan's greater good.

Whatever it is, whoever it is, Permatang Pauh will be a very "hot" place to be in over the next few weeks. Permatang Pauh is situated just next to Kulim and the old road from Kulim to Bukit Mertajam cuts through Anwar's bastion. That is one piece of sacred ground that BN will never be able to conquer. But one should try the mee ketam at a warong by the road leading up to Cherok Tok Kun hill... its simply delicious.
